Oh yeah I love this build .
Looks good lyl
Glad its a memorable build! Guess theres not a ton of similar V1ks...
Thanks, I tried to keep it as clean as possible when adding UV.... new territory for me, didn't want to over do it...
Thank ya!
I wanted to drop a lot more parts into this build... i guess i came to realization of this 'college expenses' thing Overall im really happy with the build atm... Especially the T-rad 2 w/ the 12mm Scythe fans, i think they look+perform really good.
More pics soon... Gotta document how gross this Tygon got after 4 months :P

Awesome.
I know what you mean about busy, it's that time of year huh.
Okay, here's the pic update i promised a long time ago! Now that the semester is over, I finally have some hobby (or obsession?) time!
L to R: (old) Tygon 3603 [7/16"ID,5/8"OD], Primochill LRT [7/16"ID,5/8"OD], Masterkleer [3/8"ID,5/8"OD]
Hard to believe the sizing on the tube when comparing them side by side... The Tygon was run for <4mo on distilled+PT_Nuke. The LRT tubing came from Performance-PCs just as you see it; looks like it was bound too tight
Gotta do something about the dust intake :\
Rear fan isn't staying long, that's why its unsleeved
Tubing run between res and pump is flattned sort of. I think its partially due to the nature of the angle, and that it came deformed (see above) from PPCs
I'm thinking of putting a fill/drain port here... Attempting to utilize some rotary fittings so it can rotate out when I need it, and back in when I dont.. Seems like it would be a tight fit
Here's a little workspace/desk-shot. You might notice that I added a sound card since my last pics (Creative X-fi Platinum I had laying around). I wanted to test the quality between on-board & discrete with my Swan M-10's. Despite my despise for Creative products/software, it does sound better. Note, I'm missing the 19" 4:3 secondary LCD that would go on the arm to the left of my 24" (in the process of packing up to go home)
Now that I have time to work on my build, I'll defiantly be changing some things around!
Here are some of the planned upcoming changes in order of priority...
- Adding mCubed T-Balancer BigNG!
-- Removing modded Sunbeam Rheobus
-- Splicing similar fans together
- Replacing rear exhaust fan w/ Scythe Quiet Typhoon
- Moving the 1/2",3/4" compression fittings
- Adding 45* fittings to the FuZion
- Adding fill/drain port locations
- Moving to XSPC restop
-- Removing Micro-res
-- Moving pump to 5.25 bay area
- Painting interior (color undecided) & cutting cable management
- POSSIBLY W/C'ing the GPU

Nice update lyl!
I like the new blue tubing, it's always good to have a change every so often. I did prefer the clear though with the white cathode...
Looking forward to seeing what's to come.

This is an awesome build, I just have to look it up now & then Kept very clean and simple but effective at the same time. Also looking up for some points for my own build in a silver V1000+. Been scavenging parts for a while and im almost there, it's going to be a tight fit with an MCR320 on the top with some Scythe ultra kazes. Might be a bit of a pain to route 1/2" tygon from my 4870X2 to rad but we'll see..lol. Some very nice V1000's on the forum
2600k, Asrock Z77E-itx, 8gig, 256g mSata, 670GTX, 450W SFX = powering a 27" ACD.
Thanks hewi,
Yeah, mounting a 320 at the top is defiantly possible, it will just cover (probably) 2 PCI slots... I thought of so many ways to mount more radiator in this case. 120's on the front and rear are defiantly possible, but I really want to see if i can fit a 320 in the front w/ some modding

I've given that some serious thought aswell...mounting a 320 in the front, downside is you will sacrifice all of your 5.2 bays, but if that's not a problem it's a pretty straight forward & easy mod. Just some cutting needed on the midplate and ur done, would propably get some nice airflow for the motherboard aswell if you set the fans on pull from front to back with the front mounted 320. Looking forward to what you come up with

Just measured, i dont think the 320 will fit in my case due to the 220 i already have up top (pun intended). the MCR320 is 16" tall, and thats the exact length from the floor of my case, to the inlet/outlet to my top radiator
the way i see it, my options are -settle w/ another 120.2 mount it up front, or -extend the top radiator hole to fit a 320, which would defiantly put 2 PCI slots out of order (short cards can fit in there now ie. my sound card) & maybe even cover up some motherboard headers too

nice clean install well done
PC is out of the case, while I mod/paint it.
NEW MOBO! Gigabyte P45 UD3P is on the way, as well as some MIPS mosfet and NB blocks.
Here's some pics...
my very first comp fittings *sniff sniff* [BP 1/2"ID 3/4" OD]
playing dress-up... (not using comp fittings because I forgot to pick up new tubing)
new case fan [Scythe GentleThyphoon H]
my new favorite toy [mCubed T-Balancer bigNG]
out of case setup :P
[XSPC res top]
Now to cut up the V1k some more....

oohhh ... new stuff! Looking good. How do you like those Gentle Typhoons?
I like it a lot... First 120mm fan ive bought that's more than $6 haha. Its indeed quieter than my Lian Li case fan, but havnt compared actual CFMs myself.

Will it all go back in the case eventually?

cool stuff lyl, looks like your new stuff is working out great
Am i reading the specs right on these fans?
500 rpm: 0.015 A - 5 dBA - 31 m³/h or 1.55 CFM
800 rpm: 0.023 A - 9 dBA - 48 m³/h or 2.44 CFM
1,150 rpm: 0.034 A - 16 dBA - 63 m³/h or 3.15 CFM
1,450 rpm: 0.049 A - 21 dBA - 85 m³/h or 4.25 CFM
1,850 rpm: 0.083 A - 28 dBA - 98 m³/h or 4.9 CFM
I guess thats right looking at the Amp draw, they've got to be whisper quiet though.
