Smile My A/C Water Chiller with Controller

I think this project might qualify as "extreme"

I've wanted to build one of these ever since I first read about them, but I didn't want the slush that comes with a slushbox... It also just happens that I'm good with electronics

    I hope you like pictures

Do you have a little bit more detailed infos on the parts used?
On first look it looks nice, but as msimax mentioned already: be careful with that foam on compressor!

EDIT: Why don't you use a couple of 12cm fans instead of that one big fan?

    Thank you,

The first DC fans I tried didn't keep the condenser cool enough, but I used a 120V AC fan that does the job perfectly, temps aren't a problem. Controlling both the compressor and fan via relay, via AVR

Water temperature and duty cycle are programmed

The compressor only stays on for about five minutes, then stays off for about 20-30 minutes no fan noise

I am very interested in the controller board. Any chance you can post the schematic, parts list etc. ?

With the nature of what needs to work to make a controller like this, I think the best suggestion is a good read about AVR and how they can work with your home-brew electronics. Don't forget, theres PIC and Parallax too, if you need lower level programming languages

If you have any specific questions, you could PM me...
