    I can't get 4GHz. I'm using a X3370 and 6GB DDR2 Kingston Hyper-X.
Is 4GHz just too much for this computer or am I doing something wrong?
    I'm trying 450Mhz.

Ok I finally got it. I managed to go up to 3906MHz on air. It's not bad I'd say. It did SuperPi 32M in 12m 59s.
There's no way to get any closer to 4GHz though. It will make it into Windows but nothing more, SuperPi fails as soon as it's launched.

Sorry to bump an old thread...

I have a P5Q Deluxe that I updated to 2301...finally. I set up all my settings, and it seems to work. However, I can't seem to find out what voltage vDIMM is actually running at. In the past, I ran 1.92V because that seemed to get me ~2.1V on BIOS 0704 (at least, I think that's where it ended up - 1.92V is definitely the setting I had). I carried over that setting, but I have no idea what it's actually running at. I've tried CPUID's HWMonitor, Speedfan, looking through the BIOS, and Asus' PC Probe II. Does 2301 not report vDIMM? Do I have a BIOS corruption somehow?

Okay...I tried reflashing. Didn't change anything . I also tried to load the old BIOS I had (0704) and it told me it's an old version and refused to load it. I guess I could use one of the DOS-based flash programs to force it to go back to 0704, but I'm kinda of wanting to have a newer BIOS installed. I know this is a really old board, but maybe someone remembers something about whether 2301 (or newer BIOSes in general?) don't monitor vDIMM?

To flash an old BIOS, you need the engineering edition of AFUDOS which can flash an older BIOS. I don't recall where I got mine (using 2.36 if I recall), but I needed it to flash older BIOSes on both my P5Q Deluxe and my P6TD Deluxe.

Just search for "afudos engineering edition".

I don't recall if my board allowed software measurment of vDIMM with PC Probe, as I've never used that software. Regardless, ASUS' boards rarely report the correct voltage anyway, and I'd recommend using a DMM if you want an accurate reading.

Has anyone successfully managed to get VT-X working with the P5Q Deluxe in Windows 7? I'm really stumped... I have a Q9550 CPU which supports the technology, and have tested the vt.iso at http://communities.vmware.com/docs/DOC-8978 which reports "VT is enabled on this core" for all cores. Yet in windows, using the Intel processor ID utility, I am missing VT.

Interestingly, if I disable Virtualization Tech in the BIOS, the Intel tool reports my CPU is VT compatible, with VT-X still disabled...

    1.28 vcore
    1.54 PPL
    1.3 for nb
    1.32 fsb
    2.02 mem

for 2 years. Then suddenly some games start to shutdown back to desktop. slowmo

Now after testing all settings for week. all is rock solid linX 30 pases, p95 blend 2800 mem 4h, memtest 1000% stable temps linx under 74c prime 58-64
All on PL8 and lower volts on cpu 1.256 (this was sweet spot on x38) WTF 775 is a great mystery
But i need to up NB to 1.38, FSB 1.36. ANY lower value i have errors. lower FSBv wont even post
i know this board overvolts but maybe my dont? i have newest board rev 03
I had this cpu on x38 maximus formula same cpuv 1.256 up to 474x8.5 (my vid is low1.1875 i don need much v)
