Got a question about the back panel IO...

If you look here at this link, specifically the bottom right picture of the back panel IO.

Under the orange analog audio jack, what's that small hole to the diagonal lower left?

In this link that you sent, the text show some informations: the mobo accepts ddr2 and ddr2 memories!
"As we've mentioned, the P45 chipset is manufactured using Intel's 65nm process node. The chipset can support either DDR2 or DDr memory technologies and 800MHz - 1.33GHz Front Side Bus frequencies, although a 1.6GHz FSB will be unofficially supported by many P45 motherboards. DDR3 memory speeds of up to DDR3-1333 and DDR2 speed of up to DDR2-1066 are officially supported, but once again, higher speeds are attainable through overclocking."
    BUT
At the site of Asus, the information is other!
"1200/1066/800/667 MHz to meet the higher bandwidth requirements of the latest operation system, 3D graphics, multimedia, and Internet applications. The dual-channel DDR2 architecture doubles the bandwidth of your system memory to boost system performance, eliminating bottlenecks with peak bandwidths of up to 19.2GB/s. "
    Can anyone explain?

It's not written down in the manual, it's the Coaxial S/PDIF Out Port but the tiny hole might eg just be there for connecting a jack better if it has a purpose at all... you got good eyes mate...

450FSB / RAM AT 1081Mhz Will be back in a few days with the magical Gkills which can/could do 1200Mhz)

The chipset can support DDR2 and 3 but if Asus puts on the P5Q Dlx only DDR2 slots no way you are getting DDR3's to work... eg PCB difference between eg P5K Dlx and P5K3 Dlx was only the DDR2 and DDR3 slots ( wild guessing, just to make an example don't shoot the messenger plz )...

Some mobo's have both DDR2 and DDR3 slots onboard (MSI, Foxconn)...

Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree

I'm thinking about getting the P5Q-Pro, as it is the only board available ATM, and it costs around 100€.
Not sure if should go for it or wait a another week, before the Deluxe becomes more and more available.

I would await either the P5Q-E (same bios as P5Q Dlx ) or wait a few days mate, did you check at www.jaha.be ? Hans claims 2-3 days for them to get into stock... but I doubt for ya current setup that there would be much change... (you got such a nice combo there)

It's not for this setup, it's for another rig with a X3350 and DFI-UT P35, which is having problems getting over 445-450FSB (well known problem).
Guess I'll have to be patient a bit more, and wait a couple more days.
