I think it is totally worth it so long as the aluminum doesn't condense water on it like with a cascade. It looks way more awesome. Now anodize it red

    hey all!

The new design utilizes thick .25" 6061 aluminum for both the hold down and the backplate. Its ridiculously rigid.

    fits(CPU's):
    LGA 775/771
    LGA 1366
    LGA 1160
    AMD 754/939/940
    AMD AM2/AM3(96x48mm)

    (GPU's)
any that have hole dimensions withing (2.4"x2.4") and (2.106"x2.106")

    cheers

I would have replied sooner but the compression explosion device in my motion traction system needed to be replenished with distillation fractionation of fossilisation extraction....

Very nice and clean! It looks very sturdy!

Did you use it already? No condensation problems with the aluminium?

Can you work this into a non-snap ring designed evap?

What is the thinnest alum you would use?
    1/8 or 3/16
The 1/4 is very nice but seems like it can be thinner

1/8" alu will flex a LOT

    i wouldn't go less then 3/16

14/16 gauge steel would be great but cutting steel is just... far from enjoyable.

and thanks for the compliments scott

this is just for fun. i have a large bar of 2" diameter copper that i don't feel like selling, would like to use it for something. so i have started
a new little project. I thought of this evaporator design and don't know if it will be great or not perform well at all. too bad i don't have
solidworks cosmos or something (well even if i did have it i wish i knew how to use it). Any comments on this design? it would be pretty
expensive to make and would probably only be for higher end cascades. the slits are 1/32". these were drawn and rendered with free software.

Wouldn't it be better to add a little bit more channeling so the liquid must take a long route around?

    Just throwing out ideas.

    It looks quite restrictive.

And will be very expensive to make, that's for sure! 3 part construction, which all need to be machined... lot's of time needed to make one.
So back to the drawing board I'm afraid
