    NEW : Fast Update Feature
Now you can update major (v0.5 for example) release with minor updates (v0.51) !
A minor must be apply only on his major release

It is easy ... assuming the key is E: and you are using 7-zip ... you just have to uncompress on the E: and select "replace existing file without asking" as this "french !" screenie :

    New in this v0.51 patch:

    -Maximus Extreme 1102
    -Maximus II Formula 0701, 0604
    -P5E64 WS Evolution 0504
    -P5Q3 Deluxe 0902 , 0804, 0801
    -P5Q 0901
    -P5Q Deluxe 0803, 0706
    -P5Q Pro 0901, 0708
    -P5Q-E 0901, 0706, 0704
    -Rampage Formula 0406
    -Striker II Extreme 0901, 0804
    -Striker 2 Formula 1401

    Enjoy it

You can consult all the features (MB and bios) here

First of all, awesome flashing tool. Love the GUI and layout.

I have a quick question, is the 'Asus P5K Premium Black Pearl Edition' the same as the regular P5K Premium board? I was wondering because I was thinking about crossflashing my P5K Deluxe with the Premium BIOS. It's a risk I'm willing to take.

Still the same options but I think it has better memory support. I think with the latest Deluxe BIOS, I had trouble getting my memory up to 500MHz. Flashing to the Premium BIOS, I am stable but I cannot go much higher than that.

TBH, there isn't much difference to go all out and do this. But I thought I'd just try it out since my DFI board is coming today.. and this would be the last time I would be able to use my ASUS board.

So beyond memory support, what other advantages are there to having this BIOS vs. my P5k Deluxe Wifi/AP's stock BIOS? ... Besides the "because I can" justification(s) ...

chuckle. You misunderstand. I flashed a formula se to a new bios only to find out the newer bios broke the board. So, too, the beta available. The DOS and bios based factory flashers would not allow me to roll back my flash. I'm dead in the water with a build I needed to finish and no way to return the mb to functionality. (Asus is STILL working out my advance replacemet, after a week, btw!)

Anyway, found your package tried it, worked like a champ! Somethng under 10 minutes and MB is back in buiiness, I finish the build and I'm a hero. <g> Now, in the meantime, I get to cancel the $300 (including premium freight) replacement before it shipped because you saved my bacon. I got a payday I wouldn't have or I DIDN'T shell out to solve my problem. I haven't told Asus; I'm waiting to see just how long they take on this.

Fair is fair. I'll pm you for the addy. And, hey, don't worry, I'm not gonna send you enough to get exited about...

Rampage Extreme is available on v0.53 Update ... not on the v0.5 CD version.
Well, looks like we need a v0.6 version with CD
