First of all, this tool was created for members of my forum (a french one) but also for XS members

The main goal of this tool is to have an easy way for flashing bios on any Asus P35, X38 or X48 boards (and now P5B Deluxe & Commando) in one click (or two )

For that, you will use an USB key (minimum 512Mb) and when the key will be created ... you will be able to upgrade, downgrade any of theses boards.
I think you could easy crossflash too ... if you know exactly what you are doing (Maximus into Rampage for example).

This key can contain some tools like memtest 2.10

Let me show you some screenies :

oki let's go to force a flashback for this P5K premium from bios 0504 to 204 (45nm SPI1M boost bios) :

Bench session is over, let's try the 0612 bios !

OKI, let me explain how you can have this tool :

1/ You need to download my archive (see below at the end of this post) !
2/ You need an USB flash key (mini 512Mb)
3/ Go into windows and uncompress the .7z Archive you just downloaded on your hard drive.
4/ Go into the INSTALL\ directory into KodaKey_v0.1_EN\ you uncompressed
5/ Plug your USB flash key
6/ Launch KodaKey_v0.1_EN\INSTALL\HPUSBFW.EXE and format your key in FAT (not FAT32) mode
    7/Launch a Ms-DOS Command Pompt window (execute\cmd )
8/ Go into INSTALL directory again (cd <your_path>/KodaKey_v0.1_EN/INSTALL/)
9/ type syslinux -ma E: (Assuming E: is your USB flash key drive, maybe you can have another letter) ... this is to install the bootloader into the key !
10/copy all the files & directories from KodaKey_v0.1_EN\ into the key

After the copy, you must have something like that :

    E:\Fonds\
    E:\Images\
    E:\Install\
    E:\kernels\
    E:\Menus\
    E:\syslinux.cfg

Once you did it ... that's finished so reboot your computer ... go into bios
choose the USB key in first drive to boot :

then reboot ... YOU GOT IT !

I don't know if this key will be useful or useless for you ... but however if you use it and see some bugs, want some others tools or need everything else about it ... let me know here !

Flashing bios is not without risks so as we must say : "use it at your own risk"

To upgrade to a newer version (if already got an old one)
Juste delete all the directories and syslinux.cfg file from the key ... and recopy all the content of the new archive in it
That's really simple ... No need to format if you already used an old version

    NEW : Fast Update Feature
Now you can update major (v0.7 for example) release with minor updates (v0.71) !
A minor must be apply only on his major release

It is easy ... assuming the key is E: and you are using 7-zip ... you just have to uncompress on the E: and select "replace existing file without asking" as this "french !" screenie :

As requested by some of you, now there is a CD version
So download the 7Z archive HERE, uncompress it and burn this ISO with your favorite burning software.

    Sorry Beard..
I'm French as Koda..and we know each other..
French language was just a "joke"..

    Koda

I don't understand nothing about your creation..to complicated for me..
As far as i'm concerned..i can see that there's no BIOS 404 for P5EWS Pro..
And maybe this is the only bios wich is correct for this board..
There's no way to find it anymore on Asus website..
Too bad the board can do miracles with this bios..The 507 and 603 just sucks..

If you can put it in your program,i'll send it too you.

    Bises Gourou!

we need more explain for this toolto how to make crossflash
i need to flash my P5K with P5KR biose to have AHCI back in it
    mor than this explain
You must have a 512Mb USB key (or above)

1/ Plug it into your computer
2/ Launch "HPUSBFW.EXE" from your hard disk and format the key (FAT16) !
3/ Now you must install the bootloader on the key, so :
==> launch an MS-Dos command window
==> go in this rep (cd <YOUR_PATH>/INSTALL/)
==> type : syslinux -ma <unit of the key> (if the key is E: then syslinux -ma E
4/ Copy all the content of the archive into the key !

After it, you must find something like :

    E:\Fonds\
    E:\Images\
    E:\Install\
    E:\kernels\
    E:\Menus\
    E:\syslinux.cfg

    Enjoy it

PS : Use this key at your own risk, bad flashing can brick your mobo :/

Oki i will try to explain it better !

Well first of all, you must create the key !

So you uncompress the .7z Archive on your hard drive.

Go to the INSTALL directory of this uncompressing structure.
Then you plug your USB key and must format it in Fat 16 mode !
You can use the HP tool "HPUSBFW.EXE" in the INSTALL directory (launch it and format)

After that, you have to install the bootloader syslinux into the key !

So open an MS DOS command windows (cmd) ... go into the same INSTALL directory ... you will find syslinux.exe so you must type :
    >syslinux -ma E: (Assuming your key is E

Once you did that, you must copy all the structure to the key.

After the copy, you must have something like that :

    E:\Fonds\
    E:\Images\
    E:\Install\
    E:\kernels\
    E:\Menus\
    E:\syslinux.cfg

Once you did it ... that's finished so reboot your computer ... go into bios ... choose the USB key in first drive to boot then reboot !

You will boot on the key and will have the welcome screen ... Choose "Asus 775 Motherboard Bios Collection" and navigate into the different screens

Once you see the bios you want ... just press enter ... it will "pseudo-boot" in DOS mode and ask you to choose (last chance to quit) :

    1/ Normal flash mode
2/ Forced flash mode (the right options for AFUDOS to downgrade or crossflash ... )
3/ quit ... you are not sure about flashing it

If you type 1 or 2 ... then AFUDOS flash you motherboard

This is really simple ... the most complicated thing is to create the key for the first time

Well i didn't try on a P5K (i don't own one) but with this key ... you can do it (the key is using afudos ES 2.36 which authorize the same thing than 2.11 ).

So create the key ... boot on it ... choose Asus 775 motherboard collection, then choose Flashing P35 Series then P5KR and then find the line BIOS 0605 and press Enter

After that, you will be prompt to know if you want to flash normal (1), forced (2) or quit (3) ... For you, it will be choice 2 if you want to try !

So open an MS DOS command windows (cmd) ... go into the same INSTALL directory ... you will find syslinux.exe so you must type :
    >syslinux -ma E: (Assuming your key is E
to added it directlly to usb and added other files and booted directlly without this step
    thanks alot for your help

You need to do this syslinux -ma E: only the first time to create the key.
After that, everything will be ok (no need to do it each time you want to flash).

You know, an USB key cannot boot without any action ... you need to install (only the first time) the bootloader on it.

    So let's try this ...

1/ uncompress the Archive on C:\ from XP (or Vista) oki ?
    2/ Go into C:\KodaKey_v0.1_EN\INSTALL
3/ Format the key as explained in first post (launch HPUSBFW.EXE ...)
4/ click on Start/Run (or Execute, i can't remember the XP menu in English Version) and type cmd then you will have the DOS window (don't be afraid of this black window ... you need typing just one or two commands).
5/ type cd \KodaKey_v0.1_EN\INSTALL ... and you will be in the right place
6/ type syslinux -ma E: ... if you USB key was E: when you have formatted it (2mn ago)
7/ With your explorer ... drag&drop all the files&directories from C:\KodaKey_v0.1_EN\ to your key

That's all ... and you must this only one time ... the first time.
After that ... your key will be bootable and you will never to do this again (except for a new key ) !

This is quite simple ? No ?

What can i do more simple ?
(i really can't simplify it with an automatic script (one click) because for one the key will be in D: , for others in E: and so on)

the path is depending where you unzipped it
In this sample, it was C:\

Maybe for you (assuming you uncompressed it in C:\Users\KALISGAMING) :
    C:\Users\KALISGAMING>cd KodaKey_v0.1_EN\INSTALL
    C:\Users\KALISGAMING\KodaKey_v0.1_EN\INSTALL>sysli nux -ma I:

Is it possible to flash a P5K Deluxe to a P5K premium?
My Rig can do EpicFLOPs, Can yours?
Once this baby hits 88 TeraFLOPs, You're going to see some serious $@#%....

    Build XT7 is currently active.
Current OS Systems: Windows 10 64bit

    P5E3 WS Pro ... yes
Maximus into Rampage (as far as i know ... yes ... you have to select Rampage ) and Rampage back to Maximus (you must try by selecting Maximus ... if you can try but i am quite confident)

Well this tool can't do something that you can't do yourself with the right tool ... this is just an easy way to flash with all Asus bios.
A kind of all-in-one easy flash procedure !

I know nothing about a crossflash on Maximus Extreme ... maybe with an "utopia" Rampage extreme (it was cancelled as far as i know)
