Apogee GT: Delrin bowing, not the copper?

I just got my setup (see sig) and the first thing I've done is install the bigger o-ring included with the Apogee GT in order to bow it.

I screwed down the screws evenly in a diamond pattern. However, the delrin appears to have noticeably bent slightly and you can see a tiny bit of space between the delrin top and the copper base on all four sides.

Is this normal? I mean, I think the o-ring will still do it's job and keep water out, but I had pictured the delrin top lying flat and tight on the copper base.

    Any thoughts?

That is normal. I bowed 2 Apogees, same thing. No leaks, it is fine
