can any one estimate 8 cores running @ 2.5ghz worst case scenario for a cpu score cause i got my board back but its flashed for quads and i am seeing reports that they dont like sub temps. or should i just flash the board back to the k8 bios and look for high bin F3s?

Damn, that card is a monster. I only hit like 12K (might be 12.4K too) in 3DMark06 using OC'd HD 3870 CF (not as high as they're now, they were at ~830Mhz or so). Was on stock CPU clocks too...

I think I can see 2x 4850 or depending on price 2x 4870 accidently falling into my machine. Oh the travesty. And if I get frisky... perhaps 3x might somehow happen. (Well after I get rid of this Gigabyte DS5 and get a board that actually works.)

My local shop (NCIX) has a few different ones in stock,however only ASUS
(not in stock) and HIS (the one I got) have 1 year warranty ,the rest 30 days
(from the store) also HIS came with a screwdriver and 2 games.
Have not played any games but looking at the Texture fill rate (2 times higher)
compared to 38xx I am optimistic.Better gDDR3 that Daamit is using now
doesn't hurt either
I believe that 4870 is about 2 weeks away as gDDR5 is so new.
Does anyone know of any tools to overclock the 4850 besides Cat. ? (which "only" goes to 700mhz, but very stable mind you)

It's under stock HS atm, I would hope ~2.8 at least
I do have a DFI 790fx m2r sitting here and an h2O kit,so one
day I'll combine the 790fx+9850+4850+H2O for a decent score.
