Question Can anyone help me with my XFX 8800 Ultra??

I was wondering if anyone knows of somewhere that could help me get it fixed?

I've just tried it in my XFX 780i board, connected up the two power connectors and turned it on.
Normally the board would beep once and then show bios screen and boot. With my Ultra it beeps once long and then two short beeps and then the system continues to boot.
As far as I can tell when I put the 8800GT back in, it managed to install the drivers for it and I'm assuming it works but it just doesnt display on the monitor.

Where and who and how much might it cost for me to get this looked at or with some luck, back working??

    Thanks in advance guys

I have tried this graphics card in various other systems (E4300 and Abit AW9D-Ultra, E6600 and Gigabyte P35 DS4 with same ram, hard drive, etc etc) and its the same out come, but none of the other motherboards give me any beeps at start up like the XFX 780i does.

I bought this card from someone from a forum I used and I just cant get it working. It did come with a water block and the standard GPU air cooler that I had to swap over for the air cooler, but no damage as far as I can see has been made or done or visible when I took the GPU block off and put the air cooler back on.
I had managed to get a screen to display a few times, but as soon as the monitor cable was moved even a few mm's, the screen went off and I could never get back the screen. Ever since then, its just been sat around collecting dust as I've no idea what the problem is with it and how to even consider go about fixing it...

Ever since you got this card on your hands, has it worked? Even for a minute?
Did you prevent your card from static electricity?

And something else, how's that beep sound? Is it continius?

you can lookup the meaning of the beep codes in your motherboard's manual.

but if your 8800 ultra doesn't work in different motherboards it seems your gfx card is broken.

    i'd consider rma'ing it :[

I've tried a direct RMA with XFX and it was no good they came back saying that it was an aftermarket GPU cooler that was installed (as far as I was concerned) it was the stock cooler, maybe it was the paste that I had to use that was causing the problem??

It worked when I first changed over the card, but for some reason when I moved the back of the cable that connects into the card it just lost the screen signal and then never came back unless it was in an exact position that I've not found since

Is there anyone out there that might do repairs on graphics cards??

Is there anyone that might be able to take a look at my card and see what could be wrong with it or is it fit for the bin??
