MSI Overclocking Contest (any Belgian XS'ers in here?)

Is it a reference design, isn't msi going to change them for the version that most of us have?
There is an ovp mod, but it is almost impossible to solder.

mine has ovp at 1.34v , could you share ovp mod Snot aap ? i had non-reference but have ovp, you guys has ovp ?

There is proberbly nog ovp mod, ovp is internal reference.
OVP should kick in arround 125% of the selected vid.
Nothing you can do about it besides changing the vid.

Vid goes to 1.2v so 1.25*1.2= 1.5v max. Which should be enough.

yea i was just reading the datasheet, but my card sucks only 950mhz core benchable so maybe need to try changing vid. cpu sucks,vga sucks,,ehehe i like it

florian and me have reference 9600GT too, but we will have the non reference at Amsterdam

So when we have 8 hours of benching and 8 hours of prepare and 3 benches HAHAH

I need to do new vmods and learn an extrea gfx.
Plus we dont have 2 cards like some of the other teams.
We have 1 reference and one that is Not reference..... = No backup or ?

I can't bench 3D at the frequency I bench cinebench, etc.....

I have also updated to bios 1.43 and I didn't see any changes compared to the 1.42 one...

What shall we do?.... I have to mod EVERYTHING to work it out and not that much time for me....

(3d) stable high fsb (wich means for this mobo ~600) on dualch is about hard work and big luck

Every new mobo has problems....
Remember how Foxconn BlackOps has started....When I first tested it, I had a memory bandwidth like DDR1 speed...By MANY bios updates, now it has higher Mem Bandwidth than ASUS....

So let's give to this mobo a chance to see with what it will come up.....

For the time been....it's a real pain....

I can bench SPI 1M, Pi-fast, Cinebench, wPrime with two cores, etc, and I can't bench 2k1, Aquamark (I haven't tested the others)...

I had the same problem with first wolfdale cpus and P35 boards. 1M, Pifast, wPrime I can bench with high FSB, but 16/32M Spi on much lower frequency.

I lost all hope with this mobo. 620fsb Spi 1m but 3D is still not working and I don't any time left to test it. So no change to win this time.

When we will be there, we will get another mobo from MSI and mod it/insulate it so you could play (if it's mobo related problem)....

Smoking is not allowed in public buildings in the Netherlands, so you will have to bench outside.......

I don't think you're allowed to smoke inside. The only thing that's legal to smoke inside in Netherlands is pure Marhiuana.

But as Marco said in the email, the weather is supposed to be quite good, so it would be fun to see you bench outside
