can you glue two gtx 280's together and 9800gx2 cooler to make a homemade 280 gx2?

This thread is like watching paint dry
first part was just a joke

things im wondering:
is the sheath on the gtx 260 made of aluminum or plastic?
and how many heatpipes under the sheath?

So you post an article from FUD to keep the thread rolling?
He currently thinks that the GTX260 has 210SPs, since it has 1/8 the MC/ROPs disabled and thinks it is the same for the SP clusters...
While he is right about the MC/ROPs he is wrong about the SPs, they are not linked to the MC/ROPs and there are 10 clusters which means 2 of them are disabled, getting the 192SPs that is so nicely confirmed in those leaked slides.
I'd advise a minimum of an 850W+, and that's without over-clocking. Considering 3 ultras can use about 600W total system power non-overclocked, add about 40-50W a piece for the GTX-280's and you'll have a good rough estimate of what kind of load usage you'll be looking at.
Hey can anyone comment on the micro-stuttering of tri sli? AFAIK tri-sli really has only been used for benching, but can anyone comment on whether its better or worse? People complain about regular sli/xfire's micrstuttering, but I don't think we've looked that much at it for 3 and 4 way
Its mentioned in this article; Note the image on the right

Oh blah?
http://www.fudzilla.com/index.php?op...=7721&Itemid=1We've learned that GT200, the one we call Geforce GTX 200, does support GDDR5 memory, but you won't see a card based on it anytime soon.
It is quite reasonably because 1GB GDDR5 would cost a lot of money, and Nvidia simply doesn’t even have to try before ATI manages to get its R700 card out.
The second part of the story is that despite doubled bandwidth, that could jump to a whopping 300GB/s or even much more, and you wouldn't see much difference in performance. The question of whether it can be done is finally answered, but will it be done and if so, when, remain to be seen.
knowing the cause may lead to a cure.
i take it some programs/games do not exhibit microstutter? if so, then why?
i spose multigpu owners live in hope of driver update fixes.
if it works, great, if it doesnt, suck eggs
i thought this was worth lifting from the link posted above. (is it real?)
those numbers look rather impressive. need a side by side gpuz shot from 4870 camp.
my gt is 60.8 GB/s bandwidth & 10.6 GPixels/s & 37.0 GTexels/s

There's a video of GTX260 up at tom's.. At least looks like it - 2x6 pins PCIe

Oh blah?
yeah i saw that one...
still keen on seeing 4870 vs gtx260/80 gaming smoothness. nvidia drivers plus 8xQ AA have me won over at this point. i'm a bit concerned about ati drivers/AA...so someone help me out.

haha, I ninja'd that video.
it's definitely a 260 and not a 280
Anonymous delivers.
will these beasts support HDMI???
I guess a single enermax 1000W would be fine ofcourse there are other ones also nvidia says you need 1100W (no name psu ) to have tri sli
retail cards will have HDMI port
That's the longest forum signature I've ever seen
Yeah sort it out tbh, I don't care if you've tested every mobo ever made...
We're all like children at christmas, impatient waiting for benchies
so dry for info that we are running in circles with speculation and estimates
