CellShock 1866MHz Blue Kit Fun - Sayaa!!!

I have already shown some results in a couple other threads. Here & Here

Now i wanted to show this, i'm 100% Chipset limited from 1.57v on the NB to 1.75V i went up 80MHz on the memory OC.

Booted form BIOS at 1065MHz 2.0v (i might be able to use less)

I have a couple new NB coolers one from Noctua and one from Thermalright, i'll remove the stock cooler and try for 1100MHz 2.0v i got there but couldnt finish a SP1M run.

Cell looking good as always. Can you try 1000MHz CL7?

    glad your having fun
mad_skills, i think his kit unfortunately doesnt like cas7 that much from what ive seen so far. im pretty sure not all 1866 kits can do 2000cas7, at least not stable.

whats the max stable for cas7 and cas8 felipe?
and yeah above 1.5v vmch its really brute force to get the mem clocks higher it seems. older chipsets scaled more, but even with high vmch they wouldnt reach those high clocks we get out of the new revisions, so i guess we cant complain eh?

how are you cooling the nb?
several people hinted that keeping it cool is important to get stability.

Is possible of course, i've seen some Cell's in DDR3:1000MHz club with CL7 so i asked if this one can do it as well.

This is the best i got so far CAS 7 with decent stability, one thing to notice is that i was using way to low NB volts i think i can go higher now

    CAS7 1000MHz @ 2.1v

    CAS8 1050MHz @ 1.9v

metro.cl, your confusing me a little here...
Your pictures... You have CPU-z , showing 1050Mhz, yet you have made a nice little tag on the picture with 2100Mhz...? Im really lost here... Is that a 8Ghz CPU as well?

Really? is that hard? divide it by 2 or just look at CPU-Z i guess everyone understood but you.

Changed it, to not confuse anyone else.

DDR man? Dual Data Rate, multiply by two, gives you equivalent of 2100MHz (1050MHz x 2).

nice! with some more tweaking, you will probably get there
find the sweet spot for vdimm and then adjust some more timings and im sure you can make it

felipe, great! so you managed to get 2ghz cas7 stable too?
less vmch gives you even better results?

Your review has made me decide to bite on this RAM. I ordered a kit from Memoryc.com for my P5E3 Premium. Thanks!

hey metro, it seems cas8 is faster than cas7 in one or twobenchmarks if you run them at the same speed... weird huh?
Did you notice this as well? are you running your kit at 2000 cas7 or max cas8 now?
Which one was faster for you? max cas7 or max cas8?
