    Northbridge Aftermarket Cooling

Hope the new year is going well for all of you.

I've googled and found a few spots but no hard information or pics.

For the leftover M2R owners out there is Aftermarket cooling of the NB worth it?

IF so which cooler(s) did you all use?

    Thanks in advance.

I would also like to know, I bought the akasa blue LED chipset cooler thing and that was the biggest waste of money ever.. fuking thing fell off after temps soared to ~80 degrees.

Then bought the swiftech NB cooler... which didnt fit.

    what waterblocks fit?

    cheers

This is the root of my question.

Oese. IF you used the Anfi-tec blocks, I don't see one for Mosfets (although I didn't look that hard) so...........

Did you use aftermarked coolers for all three (MOSfets/NB/SB)?

Did you cut the "pipes" and just cool the NB?

I DO have a 790FXB M2RSH and I wound up just cutting the pipe connecting to the NB and putting a TT HR-05 IFX on it. Hasn't been a problem so far (+1 YR)

But the "Transpiper System" connects mosfets to NB to SB and thus if IF I cut the pipes to the NB and leave the others alone would it matter?

Does anybody know if there's a BIOS (either DFI or homemade) that supports the new 6-Core Opterons? Also, if there is a BIOS that supports it, will the 6 core opterons work with DDR2-800?

Thanks for your help in advance.

Will this bios help with my SB600 raid working?????

I have no F4 option to set it up, unless I am doing something wrong.......

I have the CTRL-F, then theres 4 options, but I see nothing to actually set it up......

I have the sb600 set for raid, do I need the silicon image set to raid also???

When the 600 controller comes up, it detects the drives, then it has a ctrl-f option, in the raid options, I have 4 options, nothing to set up the raid, just look at the drive properties.....

No you don't need the silicon set.

option 1 or 2 is what you need to set up the drives its been a while since i had to configure.
