Which 2GB (2x1GB) RAM kit for under $100.

Hello guys, I am hunting down a good Kit (2GB) under $100 that is capable of doing DDR2-1200 with moderate volts. I wanted to buy Team Group DDR2-667 CL3 but they seem to be out of stock. Ballistix Tracer DDR2-1066 are also good for the price, but I am worried about the single sided Ballistix not OCing great recently.

Can you guys suggest me some Good RAM that OCs greatly, I am going to use it with a DFI P35.

    Thanks In Advance

Exactly $100 and does 1200mhz stock:
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820220241
Not good for OCing further, but runs at 1200mhz which is what you seem to be looking for.

That's a Nice kit. A OC friendly RAM is what I am looking for, something that would be good for Benchmarking purpose.

    Ok, well,
I plugged them in booted up and....nothing....For some reason, not necessarily this Kit, but the motherboard has issues trying to boot with 4 stick of RAM sometimes.

I run BIOS 0809 and am wondering if something in there is keeping me from posting.

Odd. I am sure the RAM is fine, but my motherboard is being a total diva.

    well,
so far I can only get them to work at the default 9x multiplier on my q6600. My other RAM likes to run at 8x....so instead of 8x475, these run at 9x423 so far...

I think this is more a motherboard issue, as it is finicky with 4 sticks as well as 2 sticks.

So I can't really say that I am let down by this ram yet, nor can I say that it's all it's cracked up to be. I have to sort my MB issues out first.

Anyone have any info on how to get consistent post when using 4 sticks?
    Thanks!

hehe, that IS with only 2 sticks.... That's why I have a feeling this is a motherboard issue, maybe it's not getting enough juice upon boot (the first time I turn on the machine in the morning, etc...) Do you think that I should raise the vDimm or vNB?

Once that is fixed I can start tearing off benchies for ya.

Maybe the board isn't able to detect proper Voltage for the Sticks, thats why having the boot issue, too bad, Hope you get the problem sorted out, Run some other RAM and set the volts to 2-2.2v and then try the Supertalents. The RAM are still out of stock .

I was searching through Newegg today and found these.

G skills HK's are the best *IF* you only want to run at 1000 Mhz. cant beat 4-4-3-5 timings @ 1000 Mhz for their price. They are good to get up to 1100 Mhz on looser timings, but wont ever reach 1200 Mhz.

If you want 1200 Mhz, just get those Patriots as they are gauranteed for that clock speed so you cant go wrong.

And most people are selling their G. Skills because they moved up to a 2x2 Gb set (likely also by G. skill, I went for a cheaper OCZ).
