Intel Core 2 Duo E7200 Retail - quick test w/water cool.

Today I had received from our cpu distributor the C2D E7200, I did some quick test with water cooler. It haven't price yet.

    Some specs about this CPU:

    Codename: Wolfdale
    HSN: x9.5
    FSB: 1066MHz.
    Speed: 2.53GHz.
    Technology: 45nm

    Some pics

    My test system:

    Intel C2D E7200
ASUS Maximus Formula (bios version 1004)
    OCZ ReaperX PC2-8500
    MSI NX8800GT
    Tagan 700W
    Western Digital RaptorX
    Water cooler made by SWC.

The CPU can stable at 4.2GHz with Vcore 1.4875volt.

And with Vcore 1.5volt I can run PI at 4.3GHz but cant run Cinebench 9.5 or anything else.

Tomorrow, I'll try it with Dry Ice.

I'm a little confused. What's the diff between the E8200/8400/8500 and this E7xxx series?

    E7xxx have only 3MB Cache L2 and FSB 1066MHz.
    E8xxx have 6MB Cache L2 and run FSB 1333MHz.

But aren't they $165 over there? (Vietnam)

P.S.: Are you representing Amaze Testlab?

Edit: (And someone beat me to the difference question. )

Edit again: Never mind. Just checked the retail price. $161? Not bad... but if it was at $140, it would have been more "worth" it. For $30 or $40, you can easily grab a E8400.

And edit again: Never mind again. $147 in Ha Noi. Not too bad, I guess. Now if only I can ask anyone to ship one out to me...

If that's the case, I would've gotten the E7xxx which is also cheaper Don't need the 6MB cache anyway. Who needs them for games?

They'll kind of help... a bit. Not that your games would run any faster when they are bottlenecked by your graphics card, though.
