    Talking Forget Rednecks...

...here's what Jeff Foxworth has to say about Ohioans
people from Ohio will find this very funny, others maybe just mildly

If your local Dairy Queen is closed from September through May, you may live in Ohio.

If someone in a Home Depot store offers you assistance and they don't work there, you may live in Ohio.

If you've worn shorts and a parka at the same time, you may live in Ohio.

If you've had a lengthy telephone conversation with someone who dialed a wrong number, you may live in Ohio.

If "Vacation" means going anywhere south of Cleveland for the weekend, you may live in Ohio.

If you measure distance in hours, you may live in Ohio.

If you know several people who have hit a deer more than once, you may live in Ohio.

If you have switched from "heat" to "A/C" in the same day and back again, you may live in Ohio.

If you can drive 75 mph through 2 feet of snow during a raging blizzard without flinching, you may live in Ohio.

If you install security lights on your house and garage, but leave both unlocked, you may live in Ohio.

If you carry jumpers in your car and your wife knows how to use them, you may live in Ohio.

If you design your kid's Halloween costume to fit over a snowsuit, you may live in Ohio.

If the speed limit on the highway is 55 mph -- you're going 80 and everybody is passing you, you may live in Ohio.

If driving is better in the winter because the potholes are filled with snow, you may live in Ohio.

If you know all 4 seasons: almost winter, winter, still winter and road construction, you may live in Ohio.

If you have more miles on your snow blower than your car, you may live in Ohio.

If you find 10 degrees "a little chilly", you may live in Ohio.

I certainly first saw that related to Michigan, and it makes more sense to me for Michigan. Ohio... not fast drivers. And since most of Ohio is already south of Cleveland, why is that a vacation ?
Nice try, folks, but that's about THIS hellhole, not the one to the south of here ! :p

why is every michigan driver this way ==> I'm going to pass you doing 90mph, and then slow down, but stay in the left hand lane, forcing you to pass me on the right, if you get over to the left lane, I'm going to speed up and get within 6" of your bumper, you get back into the right hand lane, repeat sequence
or is that just the ones that get lost down here???

being from north carolina, I can't say that Ohio drivers are any better, just a different kind of behavior, they all seem to have a "me first" mentality....I'll be going 60 in a 55 with no one behind me and raining, and someone will cut me off so I have to stand on my brakes, and then do 5-10 under the speed limit

**By 'all' and 'every' I, of course, mean the stereotypical person. Present company, more than likely, excluded.

To be honest thou, its pretty damn close. I did the whole, heat and A/C in one day thing just Thursday.

The speed limit thing is off, unless you're driving close to any of the major cities. Did that one this weekend too. Was doing 80mph just outside of Toledo, was getting passed constantly by people doing 90+mph. I will agree with Don thou, Michigan is worse in this aspect.

I saw this when I lived in Michigan (grew up there). It fits MI. I know when driving back from Ohio back to MI about a mile before you hit the state line all the MI drivers are in the left lane starting to gain speed. Then once you hit the state line it is a race.

Those are the ones that I find so true, except 75 in 2 feet of snow, no I don't do that, but I have done almost 65 when it is a blizzard out in my RWD camaro that doesn't even have limited slip or traction control

Yea, you tell them.. It's been hitting 60-75F here for the last 2 weeks and I still have a little snow in the shaded areas of the front yard.
Tell them that in Maine you know when to celebrate Memorial Day as thats when the lakes are finally clear of ice!
