Nope, I might've had prime95 open, but it wasn't running. My laptop however had loads of stuff running and its been on for 36 days straight. I can check the scores between the 9600 and the 9850 tomorrow, I'll be able to show how much memory bandwidth actually makes a difference in the app, just to show that it doesn't affect the score like you said.

I took a quick look at the fractal page on wikipedia to get a better idea of what exactly is going on. Maybe you could do one mandelbrot, then do a couple of zooms, like 10x, 100x, 1000x, and then a different type of mandelbrot such as the cubic or quartic or maybe a julia since its all relatively the same to program. I do like where the benchmark is going, one of the more creative ones I've seen. Keep up the good work.
Not much to say right now.

My 9850 sucks on the vapo, couldn't get anything stable above 2.75. It works much better on air, actually got into windows at above 1.3v but the crosshair has vdroop problems so I can't stabilize it. I use the 9600 of mine just because it was the best clocker, it did over 3ghz on air and under cold it still gets up to the mid 2.9 range.

    Edit:
Did the bench on the 9850 at 240x12.5=3000.

    FPU: 1109.916
    SSE2: 3008.807

So there's nothing to do with memory speed, cause I have some crappy sticks with the 9850 in that system that are set at the ddr2-400 divider. Not sure why there's such a huge difference, only 40mhz extra on the cpu, and the nb is a hair faster as well. NB might just make it run more efficiently, but 400 more it/s for such a small difference is odd.

Checked to see what the score was at 2.9ghz on the 9850 (232x12.5) and I got 1086 FPU and 2951 SSE2. I guess something is making my 9600 underperform, but TLB fix is disabled so who knows.

...strange, okay, I put the best results on my webpage anyway
...though overall I'm really disappointed by the Phenom...AMD was too long relying on their K7 design and couldn't come up with innovative inner core improvements compared to C2D...now they seem to be back in time in the cheap cpu segment with even worse power consumption...hope they come up with something better soon...
