    Talking Xtreme P4PE Vmem Modd

    Hi all y'all ,
I have already modd the Vmem on my P4PE,I wonder how would I gotta go to modd it more extremly.
The max I can get is 3.23V
I wanna give more juice to the mem .
    Thanx by advance.
The Vmem regulator is an APL1581 from ANPEC.
    There's the datasheet:

Raise your 3.3V line, that helps.

All u have to do is to put a trimmer between pins 1&2.
    I have fix a 50k trimmer but 20k or 10k is good:i'm at about 0 ohm
Solder it when it is at this maximum value (ie 50k) and decrease it slowly while checkin the voltage.
    Goto here:

    Good luck
I hope ya have a tester or a voltmeter.
Measure between pin 1(or 3) and ground
Make it at ya own risk

I need your opinion and experience....

I need your opinion and experience.... guys. I have Asus P4PE mobo and i'm about to go ready to mod with 10K resistor on pin 1 & 2 APL1581 from ANPEC.

My question: right know ( before the mod )

    427MHz DDR = 2.90V = not stable
    400MHz DDR = 2.70V = stable
    400MHz DDR = 2.90V = stable

If I want 427 MHz = 2.90V = stable, should I increase more voltage to it? Or is it my PC3200 sucks at 427 regardless the voltage I give in?

    My PC3200 is generic with Samsung TC40 modules rated @ 3 - 3 - 3 - 7 by SPD. 256mb x 3 pieces.

The mod allows you to set any voltage between 2.5V and about 3.25V (according to ya 3.3V rail ).
I have samsung ram too (original).
Maybe you can reach a highest frequency.
On the P4PE the Cas 3 doesn't seem to work,it set it @ 2.5 (download cpu-z to check it).

Mad OC.... so you live in France? Wow.... you've got a beautiful country man!!! I just come back from Paris last week.... I'm very pleased.. ... Paris is extremely beautiful city, especially shopping in Champ Ellysees. Good Lord, I want to go again.

BTW, do you suggest to go ahead with the mod? 10K or 20K ohm do you suggest?

    Yes,I live in France,thanx

I suggest you to do the mod,10k or 20k it doesn't matter if it's a trimmer but set it at the max value before soldering it.
And don't set the bios at 2.90v before you mod, because :

    BIOS REAL (Tester)
    2.5V 2.67V
    2.6V 2.67V
    2.7V 2.67V
    2.9V 2.87-2.88V

    I soldered a 50k trimmer (don't have a 10k or 20k) between pins 1 & 2.
You can measure the Vddr between pin 1 and ground or between pin 3 and ground.
I measure between pin 1 and the ground.
I hope you have a tester
