    SeaSonic M12-700

    Hewwo

Been noticing my trusty, yet olde, SeaSonic M12-700w isn't quite delivering enough voltage on the 3.3 and 12v lines.
Current respective values are 3.29 and 11.86 regardless of amount of load taking place - should I be alarmed?

Alternately, could some knowledgeable guy point me to a better PSU?
    - Kinda looking for a 1000-1200w unit to be used in benching as well as 24/7

    Thanx
    Oh blah?

What are you using to measure those voltages? Software or a multimeter?

If you are using software, ignore it. They are horribly inaccurate. Software told my my Antec SmartPower 500w with a blown cap was closer to 12v than my brand new Silverstone OP650. Bull.

In any event, those voltages are well within the ATX specs, which is +/- 10% on the 12v and +/- 5% on the 5v and 3.3v, I believe. You are well within 5% on those.

As far as 1000w+ units: Thermaltake Toughpowers, Silverstone OP/DA, PC P&C TurboCool, and the Ultra X3 to name a few.

Ah, yeah, this was just figures in the P5E3 and SIIE bios.
Must admit I like the Silverstone Olympia 1200, don't really know too much about the others over here - altho sure the TT is to be had everywhere.
    Oh blah?

    You shouldn't be alarmed.

If the voltages were checked with software, they should be ignored.

Are you having stability issues? Random reboots? Lock ups? If not, forget it.

You have a great PSU there. Don't swap it out "just because."

You will be hard pressed to find a psu that delivers more stable voltages than your Seasonic. 3.29 and 11.86v is absolutely nothing to be alarmed about.

Well, yes, I do - stability, reboots and lock ups. But its prolly more related to overclocking, at least I think it is. Currently testing two 790i boards
