I think the heatsink is bigger than the actual card itself.
I done worse or is it better
That is pretty awesome!
now thats what i call a sleeper
Firstly hello!
Some of these mods make me laugh as i've similar ideas from coke bottles to strapping twin 80mm fans to a Ati 1950 gc to keep it cooler!
I guess this mod i did a few years ago could be deemed ghetto...it suffered from serious heat issues as it had passive cooling ( no fans! )...but i haven't seen any mods inside a turntable before
The PSU had to be seperate as i couldn't physically get it in there even after stripping it down...
enjoy
Ghetto LGA771 mounts for noctua hs :P
Only needs sanding and couple layers of paint and it's ready
And what comes to actual mounting of the heat sink, there's mount holes in the mobo tray itself for xeons.

Watch the mounting pressure. max = 60 lbs. There's a thread at OCN regarding the VX where some guys screwed their VX's to 70 lbs and damaged their sockets.
Hotrod: Core i7 860 22x182 4GHz Vcore 1.3125v | Noctua NH-D14 w/ P14 + 2 x AP-14's
Gigabyte P55A-UD3P f13 | 4GB Ripjaws DDR3-2000 @1820MHz | Gigabyte HD 4670 1GB
Kingston V+ 64GB SSD + Barracuda 1TB 7200.12 | NZXT Beta Evo | Seasonic X-650
Ehume that's true.
But getting 30KG pressure to sockets quite task with 6/32" screws, anyways i'll be going to use ~30mm long springs for pressure balancing.

The cooler is a intel stock cooler (the lower ones), i used before on a 8800gs so i had to do a little cut there

What were the temps like on that Nom$ at the speed in the link?
Haha damn those athlons could take some punishment! I'm thinking of doing some old school benchmarking with them again someday. My favourite times was overclocking those lol. Good luck with the results
