I've set Vcore to 1.375V in the bios, and it reports 1.34~1.35v in Windows. Under torture test, it droops to 1.30v without LLC disabled.

For some odd and strange reason, my QX9650 likes 400 * 9 with stock voltages. But for 333 * 11, it requires 1.35V. Right now, I'm only needing 1.28V (according to CPU-Z) for 400 * 9 stable. I left all other settings to Auto or to their "normal" voltage.

I have no problem with LLC enabled and 8400. I'm using bios 401. Browsing along at 445x9 right now. Anyone not using the newest bios needs to try it.
Is 401 the latest bios?

U know, about 30% of the people experience no issue with LLC with the rampage formula.
I'm even thinking to get a p5e deluxe (bit cheaper but hard to find here) and flash it with the rampage bios.

Anyone know why Asus started to go backwards with the BIOS updates for this motherboard?
0403 was the latest but now shows as a “beta” and 0308 is now the latest dated from 5/16?
ASUS RAMPAGE FORMULA (Intel X48 chipset) BIOS 403
Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 w/Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme
OCZ Titanium XTC 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)

EVGA 8800 Ultra “Superclocked” (175.16 drivers)
Creative X-Fi Fatal1ty
SILVERSTONE OP1000 1000W
SILVERSTONE TJ09-B
I think that's just a misprint.This is what's listed on my pc.

Thanks,
I noticed that the 0308 with a date of 5/16 was listed under the “latest” tab and the 0403 was listed as a “beta” with date of 5/14. It almost looked like Asus found something wrong with the 0403 and then put it in “beta” status.

Guys,
Just to check wif all the Rampage users here. Did u guys install Intel Matrix Storage thingy?
What i installed from the CD was the Intel Inf and Marvel driver...
I wonder if there's new drivers for the Intel chipset and Marvel LAN. The Asus EPU software is crap right? So i dun have to install them?
I never install drivers from accompanying CDs (except when storage is required for OS install).
Always go on company websites and get the latest.

Erm... does the performance increase if i install the Matrix Storage?
Are you guys using the fan for the heatpipes and what temps/volts do you have on the NB?
The latest Intel INF chipset drivers are the 9.0.0.1008, which are still not listed on Intel’s website.
The latest Intel Matrix Storage Manager Software is 8.2.0.1001 dated (6/2/08) -
http://downloadcenter.intel.com/filt...4&submit=Go%21
The latest Marvell LAN driver is the 10.60.6.3 –
http://www.marvell.com/drivers/drive...o?driverId=175
is it good to install Intel Matrix?
The fan for the heatpipes is only necessary if you're using water. The temps for my NB and SB under load is 48C-49C for the NB and 44C for the SB. I replaced the TIM with Arctic Ceramique and it dropped my temps by 4C-6C for both As far as voltages. Right now, the NB is at 1.23V and the SB is at 1.05 and the SB2 is at 1.50V.
I don't think it'll hurt if you do.

Another fan on the NB is instead quite useful

If you use stock CPU cooler or similar, the air flow from the optional fan disturb the air flow from the CPU cooler and vice versa.
If you use a TRUE, Tuniq or similar cooler there is okey to use it, no air flow interference.
I did use it as it gave additional cooling and brought down the heat on my NB. I don´t remember how much lower it was.
I run my NB between 1,41 and 1,71, depending on how hard I push my memory and to get me the lowest possible tRD and right now I´m on water on my NB and it´s never above ~35C even if I push 1,71 throu it.
