SadI thought they were going to adjust that "way back when I was still here all the time" to make cpu and gpu's equal. My GPU cards are ancient. Wonder if they will even crunch?

It is what it is..I tossed in my old 5870 card and it took my points from 140,000 to over 200,000Sad
Today a top 7970 card can do well over 600,000PPD..

I don't think every project on the grid is just going to jump straight on the GPU bandwagon. GPUs aren't suitable for EVERY science engine even though they scream along on others. Apparently they trialled GPU apps for other things but found them slower than the existing CPU versions. FA@H only just went 64bit, for example, and it's been running for a looooooong time.
There's no doubt there WILL be more GPU work on the grid. That's certain in my mind. Exactly what and when is anybody's guess though.

I have been trying for several days to add a "good" card. Haven't been able to so far. I can get the card to work with XP but I can't crunch on that card with XP (7950). Can't get Vista to play nice with it though.
