Hi, I've been thinking about lapping my Q6600 G0 but I don't have the black thing that was protecting the back of the cpu anymore (sorry don't know the name of that piece of plastic. Can I use some foam?

A piece of stiff cardboard would be fine I guess.

yep and use a bit of foam inbetween the CPU parts and the cardboard... make sure you tape it in well and don't use too much water..., let her dry out completely before firing her up...
Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved
Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree
use painters tape to seal it works good
