Which Brand of 790i and 9800 GX2 Should I Buy?

I'm after a 790i motherboard and two 9800 GX2's when they are released.

The only thing I can't decide is which brand to buy.

I was hoping to get some opinions from fellow xtremesystem board members.

Which brand should I buy (or which brand would you buy), if you had the choice? And more, importantly, why that particular brand?

I'm thinking a Gigabyte 790i, because I've always used Gigabyte motherboards when upgrading my computer, and never had any problems, I think the Gigabyte 790i looks good and would imagine it's a good quality motherboard.

I'm thinking either an XFX or EVGA 9800 GX, simply because they release models that are already overclocked.

    Thanks.

I say eVGA for the GX2's just because they have a lifetime warranty that allows you to replace the stock cooling. And a step up program

For you online gamers PALiT is going to be doing this with their GX2 which should be on the egg soon.

    https://www.primarytarget.com/palit/

48 slot BF2 server which is on the list would normally cost $320 for three months and a CoD4 24 slot server is normally $144

Now the other day that I was told about this, was that if say a clan bought 3 cards, they could put all of that server time into that one server.

I'm wondering when the ASUS 790i will make it to the egg Hmmm.

    Thanks heaps for the input.

As far as the 9800 GX2 is concerned, everyone goes for the EVGA.

metro.cl mentioned that XFX's support and customer service is poor.

Polizei mentioned EVGA is good because of their lifetime warranty and step up program.

What do people think of other GPU bands? MSI, Foxcon, BFG, Gigabyte or ASUS?

    I think I'll get a Gigabyte 790i and EVGA 9800 GX2.

Asus Stiker II Extreme or EVGA 790i SLi ... However, my advice is for you to wait for the new DFi 790i SLi just to see what's its potential ... (rumors say, it is going to be wack ! ... )

EVGA or XFX for 9800GX2 ... (EVGA has another benefit called : Step-up ... )
