innovatek MBX-P5E ; one cooler for CPU, Northbridge and Mosfets

good idea, but then you really have to buy a new cooler for each board

price is 189 Euro via the webshop for the ASUS P5E. more coolers will follow

Notice any grammar or spelling mistakes? Feel free to correct me! Thanks

Der Cool-Matic MBX verfügt über zwei sehr grosse und massive Bodenplatten aus beschichtetem Reinst-Kupfer um eine extreme Kühlleistung zu erreichen.

absolute corrosions fest means the opposite in english as it does in dutch apparently.

that aside I could see case modders going crazy over this.

It's German, but besides that you're right!

well, those who change their mainboards very often don't even use w/c for their chipsets. in fact I don't see the necessity. todays chipsets can reach high fsbs with aircooling

For NVidia chipsets this might be off some interest, but I still think that there are already better solutions available.

I would love to see a test of it though...

EK to the rescue. Hey if people are willing to buy full coverage blocks for their vidcards, why not this. Although it really deopends on the performance. As far as price is concerned, you are getting 4 blocks in one and depending on the quality and performance it might be worth it. Also you save on tubing

That is pretty cool but with limited applications it'd a very 1-shot deal, not good for long-term usability. Great though if you are building a PC that'll be used for 3 years.

it's cheaper than buying cpu,nb, and 2 moffset coolers, so it's good!

asus uses the same cpu, pwm and NB layout for most of their newer intel boards i think that its a great idea, depending on the flow

I'd imagine that that contraption would produce poorer CPU collong performance than a CPU only block... I think I'd pass

For people who DON'T change thier boards every week (me), this is a good idea, but the price kills it. 100 to 125 USD if the cooling properties are as good as the d-tek or around there.

Cool idea, but I'll pass. Its at least a step in the right direction. Too bad every board has a slightly different layout.
    You must [not] advance.

why not just have a big plastic bag that covers the cpu, nb, and videocard?
As Los Alamos director J. Robert Oppenheimer watched the demonstration, he later said that a line from the Hindu scripture the Bhagavad Gita came to mind:
"I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds."
Test director Kenneth Bainbridge in turn said to Oppenheimer, "Now we are all sons of b**ches." wiki

Hey,wait a minute! Isn't P5E's layout identical to that of Maximus/Rampage Formula? If it actually fits on them it MIGHT be of some interest.
