    I really like the fact that dfi still uses socketed bios on their boards.

    It makes sense to use a socketed bios. Think of all the money that can be saved on RMA's. Somebody hoses a bios flash and all DFI has to do is pop in a new bios chip and send the motherboard back to the customer. Or better yet. Just ship out a new bios chip to the customer and let them do it themselves. All higher end motherboards should use socketed bios chips.

    basically the order you have them in. UT is the top dog with the best cooling arrangement, LT has normal-ish heatsinks but shares the same layout and most components, DK is the budget segment, cheaper components fewer pci-e slots etc.

    So putting cooling aside because most of us here will change it or mod it in some way, which board is the one designed for all out overclocking performance? I assume the UT being that it is the top dog?

    i wounder how the wireless integration works i hope that its a card or a usb header and not something that would keep us from flashing up to it

    The UT and LT are the same board with different cooling solutions. I'm not sure about the DK, I never had one.

    Correct. UT and LT perform basically the same. Dark version LanParty has somewhat different bios with some fewer options and thus is slightly outperformed by UT and LT version. And of course it's a lot cheaper.

    I meant that the new ICHR10 will have Wireless intergrated, not that the ICHR9 does.

    Where does it say this board will have wireless intergration?

    I wonder if someone can mod the X48 T2R bios to flash an X38 T2R with...

    Core i7 920 D0 B-batch (4.1) (Kinda Stable?) | DFI X58 T3eH8 (Fed up with its' issues, may get a new board soon) | Patriot 1600 (9-9-9-24) (for now) | XFX HD 4890 (971/1065) (for now) |
    80GB X25-m G2 | WD 640GB | PCP&C 750 | Dell 2408 LCD | NEC 1970GX LCD | Win7 Pro | CoolerMaster ATCS 840 {Modded to reverse-ATX, WC'ing internal}

    CPU Loop: MCP655 > HK 3.0 LT > ST 320 (3x Scythe G's) > ST Res >Pump
    GPU Loop: MCP655 > MCW-60 > PA160 (1x YL D12SH) > ST Res > BIP 220 (2x YL D12SH) >Pump

    Something like this:
    The basic differences between the chipset Intel x48 and x38 is the official support to 1600 MHz system bus, corresponding frequency dividers, and also the possibility to exploit a pair of modules DDR 3-1600 with XMP technology and 1.8 v .

    http://xtreview.com/addcomment-id-35...8-chispet.html

    Somewhat better memory overclocking and native support.
