    My setup

    First quick result : QX9650 490x9=4400

Here's 3 hours of everest with all voltages and temps, stupid me forgot to display cpu-z, but this is also on 490x9.

Hope next bios will give fsb 500+ as i see alot on SIIE with QX9650 hit a wall at 490.
On the other hand it might off course be the cpu limit.

If you look at the screenshot theres all the voltages you need in the Everest monitor.
Mem timings, unlinked 1333, first testing my cpu, later i will push the mem to it's limits
Very important thing !!! In bios standard mem is set on 1T, set this to 2T !!
Altough i did nothing with my memory, this setting on 1T won't let me boot over fsb420 !
Gonna look after this later on when i'm gonna play with my memory.

Cooling: I watercool the NB, keep this in mind when you see i use 1.7v on the NB, maybe it's ok with aircooling, i dunno, just keep an eye on those temps.
I don't use radiators, i use a Hailea 1500 ultra waterchiller, wich is capable of removing 790 watt of heat.
    My water is 16-17 `C

Bios: yes, latest beta 507 and i hope newer beta will support FSB500+ on the QX and that it will arrive soon !
Very slow bios support on this mobo, think they have quit some bugs to fix.
Also hope they fix the temps and voltage readings/setting

Are the Everest reported voltages accurate? I ask cause they're not for me. If it wouldnt be too much trouble, could you post your bios entered values?

I bet the northbridge voltage is the key.... I have used all of your volatages and I get stuck at about 460fsb but I havnt cranked the NB up yet until I have my water loop connected. Thanks for the update, I'll try the 2T setting as well.

I looks like you have to email Asus to get the key. I kinda of gave up and bought it from futuremark's site itself for like $20.

In other news, my problems with my board seems to be RAM related. I am getting memtest errors as I go over 360 FSB in sync, put in a RMA request @ newegg and am gonna return the RAM(lost 15% in restocking ). The 4 GB OCZ EB platinum that I ordered from mwave will get here tomorrow. Hope I will have better luck with this RAM than I had with my 2GB OCZ sticks. Thanks for all those who took time off to respond to my whining.

that you haven't downloaded this latest Everest beta ...

and commented on the SPP temp values compared to your BIOS readings. Hopefully you'll find that the Everest 4.50.1347 Beta reading are closer to your BIOS values.

Argh!!! It gets worse. Now windows hangs instantly after boot. Has anybody come acroos this!!!!

It's quite possible I might have gotten a dud in the first place. Also, am suspecting that my mobo ate my RAM(much like the earlier striker). When I first tested it with memtest @ default 333 FSB(1333 QDR) unliked with the RAM @ the rated 1600 7-7-7-20 1T i got 3 good passes. Now,memtest is giving errors @ the same setting.

As a last ditch effort, I will have to try the 0508 BIOS and see what happens. I already got the RMA # for the RAM from newegg.

0508 Is a no go on my board. It complains about the id not being compatible with the existing bios or something like that. I guess it's RMA time. Never dealt with NCIX for an RMA. Actually SIIE was my first purchase from them.Hope the RMA goes smooth for a replacement from NICX.

I've got a similar problem with my P5K Deluxe, but after updating BIOS it wouldn't even POST, pretty lucky with the 30 day return policy

790i is very picky with ram settings.
Try 2T and see if this solve the problem, it did for me anyway.

i have flashed bios 0511 and found no changes.

if you use bios 0507 or older you can use ezflash. 0508/0509 requires dos.
