    ASUS Striker II Extreme

I have been testing ASUS new creation with Nvidias 790i chipset. First som pictures taken by Soulblade:

    Striker II Extreme

    Quick test on cascade:

Then we have some results, looking pretty damn good

And some bandwidth + fsb on air, bios 0507 rocks

With 9800GX2 SLI this will be some dangerous platform

This could be destroying the ORB again... looking good...
Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree

When is the NDA up for the 790i? Can you tell us? Legion hardware has a review but it's mostly memory bandwidth and sli comparisons with a 780i board.

    3 questions.

what is the TRFC and TRC range on this board?
what are the available ratios on the board?
    linked and unlinked still there?

"The command and conquer model," said the EA CEO, "doesn't work. If you think you're going to buy a developer and put your name on the label... you're making a profound mistake."

    tRC = 1-63
tRFC = 1-255 (0 = Auto, you can type in the value)

Memory overclocking is done the same way as 680/780i, linked or unlinked.

Linked ratios are 1:2 (Sync Mode), 5:4 and 3:2.

Sorry, I'm not allowed to share it yet

Board is very cool actually if you compare it to the crazy hot 680/780i.

Good luck with your S2E! It'll work perfectly except for a bit low bandwidth (without 0507 bios).

Sorry, I only focus on the overclocking part. Check official reviews or other peoples review here at XS for that kind of every day thing

Performance is a little better because of DDR3, except for that there should be no reason to swap (unless you want to run subzero).
