    Nearly 1.6V I'd have problems with running long-term. I try to never go over 1.45V for a CPU that I'd like to be with me for a while.

    i had my E6600 on 1.5v on boxed cooler @ 3.5Ghz for a long time and later 1.6 @ 3.7Ghz on a gemenii the cpu is now a year old and still working

    on the boxed cooler it gets HOT but it still working

    To be a professional noob/idiot
    * Default factory speed is for noobs.
    * Everything must go above the speed that the factory consider safe.
    * Everything for more performance
    * Everything fits, and everything can be broken.
    * Most problems can be fixed by adding a volt or two.
    * Post things in your signature that makes no sense at all.

    I don't recommend anything over 1.5-1.53 volts for 65mn chips, and 1.41-1.44 volts for 45nm chips. You could get away with a higher voltage, but only if you don't expect to keep the chip long.
