i currently have my Vcore set to 1.58v to get 3.8ghz on my E6600, orthos with small Tft's temp hits 55c is this ok for 24/7 use?

Nearly 1.6V I'd have problems with running long-term. I try to never go over 1.45V for a CPU that I'd like to be with me for a while.

i had my E6600 on 1.5v on boxed cooler @ 3.5Ghz for a long time and later 1.6 @ 3.7Ghz on a gemenii the cpu is now a year old and still working
on the boxed cooler it gets HOT but it still working
To be a professional noob/idiot
* Default factory speed is for noobs.
* Everything must go above the speed that the factory consider safe.
* Everything for more performance
* Everything fits, and everything can be broken.
* Most problems can be fixed by adding a volt or two.
* Post things in your signature that makes no sense at all.
I don't recommend anything over 1.5-1.53 volts for 65mn chips, and 1.41-1.44 volts for 45nm chips. You could get away with a higher voltage, but only if you don't expect to keep the chip long.
