you know...
3870X2 + 3870.
3870X2 + 3850.
3 x 3870.
3 x 3850.
4 x 3870.
4 x 3850.
supposedly this new Cat 8.3 allows just about any combination of hardware to run in crossfire. as long as your using vista, and a 3800 series card.
one thing I have on my mind though, that I think everyone in the world forgot about is.... what about the tripple 2900XT?
I mean, that was the first card designed for tripple card set ups, yet never happend....
is that lurking in this driver, hidden away?
or will we just never see that come to the light of day?
be sad, the 2900XT's are cheap, and have massive amounts of power for benchmarking, so they would be fun in a tripple set up.
the only review I could find so far, was at hardocp. but to me, thier reviews are always useless, cause their information is soooooooooo random.
and thier squiggle graphs are nearly indecipherable, unless you have a magnifying glass, and take notes.
so theres no good reviews yet on this...
which just leads me to wonder.
whos else is gonna try this new stuff?
I am gonna work like hell to get my friend to lend me one of his 3870's tonight, to see if I can get it working with my 3870X2.
atleast, that would be something different, see if it actually works.
I cant remember the last time I was this curious about a single driver.
maybe when the 7950GX2 drivers came out....
