Real Temp - New temp program for Intel Core processors

    RealTemp 3.70
    January 4, 2012

    http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads...Temp_3.70.html

    RealTemp Tech|Inferno Edition
    http://www.techinferno.com/downloads/?did=53

RealTemp is a temperature monitoring program designed for all Intel single Core, dual Core and quad Core processors. It's compatible with Windows 2000, XP, Vista or Windows 7, 32 or 64 bit. In Vista or if you are in a limited account, you will need to right click on the icon and run RealTemp as an Administrator so that the driver will be properly installed.

New features include an updated user interface, a high temperature alarm, reporting of minimum and maximum VID, Quad Core ordering based on APIC ID, log file in CSV format for better Excel compatibility, Up Time counter as well as long term stability improvements.

TechPowerUp is the official home of RealTemp.
    http://www.techpowerup.com/realtemp/

When using UAC in Vista or Windows 7, use the Task Scheduler to get RealTemp to start up with Windows. This method allows you to give RealTemp the necessary privileges so it can read your sensors.

    http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...postcount=3657

With XP or if you are not using UAC, just drag a link to RealTemp.exe into your StartUp folder.
I prefer this method so nothing needs to be added to your registry and you can drag the RealTemp folder anywhere you like and anytime you like.

    nice soft!

if realtemp is right(hopefully) i'm doing 44-46c on load @ 1.2vcore which makes more sense than coretemp/everest @ 54-56c and speedfan is right in the middle @ 49-51c.

you can see the pattern of exactly 5 and 10 degree difference between the softs

suggestion, makes it go to tray please :P

Last time I checked, Everest was using the same TjMax=105C that CoreTemp has been using for the E8000 processors.

How far below zero are you going? The Core processors store the DTS temperature in 7 bits of data which gives a range of 0..127.

    Temp = 95C - 127C = -32C

The liquid nitrogen guys will need to find another program!

There is a controversy of whether the L2 E4300 has a TjMax of 85C or 100C. I'm betting that the early E4300 had a TjMax=85C which is why my program reads 15C lower than others. Once I get my hands on one or a similar L2 processor I'll do some proper testing and hopefully get this cleared up once and for all. Core 2 Duos don't run very stable at a core temperature of 85C when you are overclocking and overvolting so that's why I'm betting that 70C is actually closer to the truth.

I'll get the Real Temp Xeon bug cleared up by tomorrow.

I'm going to try this with my maximus formula board, but the recent asus boards won't read negative temps at all even in the bios, so I don't think it will wok on my 9650/phase setup.
