there is an old thread here with ppl attempting this already

it's actually very cool particularly cause most guys didn't have low end hardware and had to rely on skill to get the clocks down whichever way they could

what is also very cool is hitting an exact number that's set by comp starter heheheh

Is there a way to see the lowest scores submitted ?

i cant machine to boot at all (socket7 p1, 3.3v agp). probably need to install cache on it. I hate the pre-Plug-and-Play hardware days...

lowest seems to be 5

There are lower, But none that apply for powercolor's competition

FX5200:

OK, 3Dmark01 runs fine... but 3Dmark03 Test1 runs fine, but crahes when Battle of proxycon is started, goes black and PC reboots argh

edit: problem fixed by resetting cmos to defaults, it was probably some agp or agp memory, or bios shadow or some other setting i chagned

I have the same thing happen if I'm running ultra-low underclocks on this 8400GS but it happens with Troll's Lair. The 1st two tests will run fine but the 3rd test will just stay in the black screen after it's loaded and I have to reboot the system. Is your issue just a matter of "unstable" clocks? Perhaps try above-stock clocks? Wish I had an AGP system lying around.

I'm down to 56, I need a slower rig with some 64MB SDRAM action.
I haven't submitted the score, but I don't think anyone has lower in this competition yet (the 5 marks was form 2 years ago, and 10 marks is from September)

I really hope I get my Pentium1 rig running

Nice run OC-Ghost. If 3DMark is detecting the clocks correctly, you still have a lot of room to work with

Didn´t downclock anything, ran default gfx clocks

Will try again tomorrow, because it take´s so long for it to finish so I´d rather not sit 3-4Hours watching it.

Holy cow man. You have some huge potential there. I just ran my final run for this competition as I cannot get the core, shaders, or memory any lower without the system crashing. FSB won't go any lower, memory won't go any looser, LOD doesn't help, quality filters don't get any stronger, random tweaks don't help anymore. Talk about a damn fun competition, maybe I'll stumble across a weaker GPU or utilize my GMA950.

They only require the 3dmark score, not the CPU score, nor the rest of the junk.
The score looks promissing. I just dont know how they feel about uncertified drivers.
I was able to pull my score down to 30 marks but I think I have some more room with my 7400 go

Since Predator30 is annoyed by something as trivial as moded drivers in a low scoring contest.
I´m downloading latest FM approved drivers, although it´s wont differ a squat. Using omegas right now, and they are made to speed up things a little

Ah shoot! I´m gonna do it now, gonna come back with a even lower score!
