    Tube Cleaning...

Heya guys, i was just looking at my tubing, and i realised that after it sitting around for almost 2 months now, it has collected dust.

Although the dust is an easy problem, condensed air can should do the trick, its lost its shine, like it looks very dull, and opaque.

Im using Clearflex 60 1/2ID 3/4OD, but it isnt as clear as other tubing ive seen.

Is this cause of the tubing, or cause of accumulated dust and dirt?
If its the latter, how can i say "polish" it to get it looking more clear.

PS: by not clear i dont mean a blueish tint or something to that effect, it looks like it has fingerprints smudging the interior throughout the whole length.

Anya dvice or help is welcome.

    Thanks

I tried to clean some Tygon once, tried things like boiling water, dish soap and even bleach, to no avail.

Even a pipe brush didn't help.

I ended up binning the stuff and replace with shiny new tubing.

alcohol and a tooth brush gets rid of dye stains. However I don't know the effect of alcohol on vinyl tubing.
Most people just buy new tubing or get black tygon..

I've used a brush to clean the typical white residue out of the interior with success, but ever since I started using $.45/ft Masterkleer, it's just a whole lot easier to replace with new tubing.

Not sure about the outside though...soapy water I guess.

I've found clearflex relatively easy to clean in the past. pipe brush and warm, soapy water works for me.

Do you get the tubing's clearity back to what new tubing is like?

My Tygon stayed dull and cloudy, cleaner but nowhere near as clear as new.
