Testing...3870x2 :(

Hi guys.


I have been playing around with this card the past weeks. here is a litte test start with CPu on VAPO LS, and GPU´s on water.

but i had a lot of trouble with the card. yesterday i could bench at 972/1098 1.5v on both GPU´s.(exept 06) Today 932/1098 only posible with the same volt....i miss nvidia the card have behaved like this since day 1

i think my OS is partly to blame, course i´m crashing the same place in all 3ds everytime so i will make a clean install asap (again)

Anyway..here is what i got so fare.

I've been playing with a HD 3850 and i also miss NVIDIA so much, Rivatuner is sucha great tool...

Nice scores i might get this HD 3870X2 to play soon, but only with air

Yeah, even with my old 7600GT, I was clocking mem too high, and I thought I had a core problem.

What were your expectations for 2001 Sioux? I think its a rather nice run for 5ghz proc and card clocks..

No expectations at all. this is just quick testing before i put it all on DICE But nature and DL is very bad..system scores are good enough though.

no...its on trolls lair in 3d03,(right when the two trolls start fighting) and in firefly forest in 05.(at the end when the fly comes out of the tree) my mem is moderate..it can do 1134 through 06, so i dont think its that

For me 06 seems to soar through at much higher mem clocks then others. What's your pci-e frequency? I was getting the same crash in 05 and forget if it was gpu mem, pci-e, or system mem.

The PCi-e was at 120. but i tested all the basic stuff ofcourse. also i just try at stock clocks and it still fails 03 & 05, so something else going on, course it was not like that the first days.

i start to suspect the card for beeing defect maybe.....course like i said...it was not like this when i first got it ahh well....i´m want to go back to nvidia anyway

i will work it out.....
