    17K6 '06 single 8800GTS G92-E8500 watercooled

Nothing special in a world of 30K scores and -180ºC temps but a nice score in it's own league i reckon.

    Setup:

    mobo: Asus P5K-E wifi/AP bios 1006
    ram: Crucial Ballistix PC8500 2.5V
gfx: Asus 8800GTS 512mb Vgpu modded 1.45Vgpu idle
    cpu: E8500 Q745A554 1.58V (1.6125V in bios)
    tim: MX2

    Watercooling loop: Dtek fuZion, EK FC88 fullcoverblock, EK 200mmm res, PA120.2 rad w/ 4x Yate Loon, DDC+ 18 w pump w/ Petra's top, Tygon 7/16 tubing.

    Compare: http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=5329599

Pic of my system, yes it's in a case.

Excellent score Zeus and nice and neat installation as well.

Good core clock on that card.

    Yes, very nice Zeus!

Will try to give you some competition, as soon as i have rebuilded my system. But my CPU can't touch yours. I think 4500MHz for 3D is possible.

    Thanks guys.

I can only imagine what the score would have been if it was a quadcore processor, i reckon 19K easy, maybe even 20K.

loc.o, yeah cpu turned out to be better than i initially thought but a good mobo/bios definately makes or breakes your overclock with these cpu's.

These Wolfdales are very sensitive to what mobo or even what bios you use.

Andy, the core clocks are nice but as it seemed i had to sacrifice some memory clock to get there.

This gfx card is rather strange, too high mem clocks makes it lock up, instead of showing artifacts.
I'm talking total lock-up so that i have to reset my system.

Finding a nice balance between core/shader and mem isn't easy and i don't think i have squeezed out the last drop of performance yet.

Thanks mate, i'm gonna rip the system apart soon for a total rebuid.

Gonna spraypaint the interior flat black and add some new stuff like a nozzle for my fuZion, EK nb block, new Zeus 650w PSU, ocz xtc ram cooler and some more small stuff.

I will post the result in the watercooled case gallery when i'm done.

Impressive! I'm really digging the high scores from 24/7 rigs. My kind of style.

Tried to give you some competition, but my cpu will only do 4400MHz for 3D and my card will not go over that 900MHz core, even not if i will give more then 1.396V load.. Tried up to 1.48V, but can't manage the next aviable step of 910MHz. Still some nice result imho.

    Very nice result my friend!

Despite 200MHz less on the CPU you got a nice score.

SM 03 seem to benefit a lot from high memoryclock, i assume you have Samsung chips your card?

Strange how yours doesn't scale with more voltage, i ran mine at 1.45V idle for this run, so about 1.52V load, the core likes voltages but the shader hits a brick wall.

Here's how mine scales: (ATItool stable)

    Thanks!

Yes, SM3 loves the high memclock. And yes, it is samsung.

Strange thing with the core-clock. I tried to lower the shaders to the working frequency of 2252MHz, but still those freezes. Maybe i should go more lower with it? Will test that some other day.

Love the system pic, nice results as well.

Would it be better going from the cpu to the video card though and bypassing the northbridge and just leaving that air cooled? Cooler temps on the video card and you might get that extra Mhz step up?

Of course that sort of thing will spoil the perfection of your rig though I guess.

    Andy

    Thanks!

Yes, that is a problem.. But temperatures are not the limiting thing i think. Had about 30°C idle and up to 38°C load.
