Maybe Intel is trying to get some Game Developers on board for Larrabee. Can't get more onboard than owning the company.

True, both seem to be aiming for a '09 release.

I belive it might have something to do with it. I read the Project Offset Technology Overview page only a few weeks ago and it had Physics section in which it said that the engine supports Ageia's Physx. Today that section is nowhere to be found, coincidence?

Intel has bought themselves a very good technology, Offset engine will wipe the smile of Epic's face when it comes out.

Now something happens when, I´ve almost forgot about Offset.

As Syn. said, it´s a great piece of software.

This is a major thread resurrection, but has anyone heard anything more about this project? It looked amazing. I'm guessing it's dead since Intel took over, but maybe someone else knows different.

They recently reopened the community forums after a long hiatus, and they participate a little as well.

No idea, but I do remember some videos getting leaked which the devs weren't happy about at all.

Intel bought them out and the community died.
The forum went back up a few weeks ago.
