    G.Skill F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK

Does anyone know anything about this memory yet? Highest-binned 4GB DDR2 kit out there AFAIK. $170 @ the Egg right now.

It's still too expensive...the 8000CL5D-4GB kit overclocks easy to 1066MHz...and only costs $114 shipped.

Mind telling us where you got the Team 4GB 1066 kit? I can't find it anywhere. I think I'd prefer Team over G.Skill.

Maybe with a particular board but as a general statement I would say that's BS. If the memory is being sold as 1066 then it will run at that speed.

2.2-2.3V?????...way too high, G.SKILL can accomplish the same clock speed with 2.0V

The 1000 mhz one is only 6 layers PCB. The 1066 Mhz is 8 layers, hence why it costs more, and it should also overclock more.

But why arent there any reviews on it yet? Cant G skill give out a single review sample?

I'll test it for them :p

I beat you to it! This maximus overvolts the memory, but at 2.1 Volts real and 2.0V bios, I have 8 gigs running at their rated speed. This isn't an overclock, but 8 gigs running that fast is pretty good for the voltage. I finally got this new setup stable in the we hours of this morning, but I may try some tests later. I do know that they will NOT post with 4-4-4-12 at the same speed and voltage.

Are you on the right forum?

High overclock is exactly what we look for here. I'll take the 8 layer ram anyday over 6 layers. Except my current ram is fine untill this one falls below £100 (currently £117). Once its below £100 I upgrade and sell

Actually I had the impression that these would be good to reach 1200 mhz. If not I wait even longer for the next 2x2 Gb set.

I was expecting this ram would overclock up to 1200 with 8 layer pcb i guess the price isnt worth it getting this model. I was having dilemma between this and crucia ballistix tracer 8500 2gb kit. im go with crucial now

    2.2v

    -2.10v Bios ~ 2.224v Hardware Monitor
    -Auto SPD Timings
-Still Stable as I type so its time to increase FSB.
    Code:
    DRAM Static Read Control:DISABLED
    Ai Clock Twister : STRONG
    Transaction Booster : DISABLED
    BOOST: 0
    Performance Level: 7 ?
DRAM Voltage : 2.10~2.224v Hardware Monitor

    DDR2 Channel A REF Voltage : DDR2
    DDR2 Channel B REF Voltage : DDR2
    DDR2 Controller REF Voltage : DDR2
    UPDATE:
-Used Auto SPD Timings for all Tests so there is a lot of headroom.
-Tried to push 565 mhz and Orthos Failed under 1 min. Vdimm made no difference pushed to 2.14 Bios Setting.
-Got bored its time to game!

Geil Evo One CL4 can do better than G.Skill 1066 but cost little more.
    8-layer pcb also.

If you are to buy 2x2GB sticks think if 520+ or 540+ is your goal for 24/7
    so as to buy accordingly.

After all these are PK Performance series modules, please don't take my juvenile testing as proof. I discovered more hindrance my board has over 455 FSB, and I never changed the Timings from default. I was just pushing Max Clock on Stock SPD against Bios 0907 with different performance levels. Great sticks, just need legitimate reviews on boards without bugs.
