Who else owns a Asrock 890FX Deluxe3?
Just wondering because I have something that may benefit users. I've been working on a tweaked BIOS for the Deluxe3, based on BIOS 1.8. At this time its as tweaked as I can make it. The main strength in this BIOS is to provide much better CPU support and probably increase FSB and CPU-NB clocking for most people.
Heres what I have managed with the vanilla 1.8 BIOS and my tweaked 1.8 BIOS;
Default BIOS: Max bootable FSB 290, max bootable NB frequency 2970.
Tweaked BIOS: Max bootable FSB 302+, max bootable NB frequency 3060+
Of course I can't guarantee everybody will benefit from this BIOS but for me its working well so far. When I can figure out how I'll also be looking to greatly enhance the Deluxe3s memory compatibility. Finally, this BIOS is what I have enhanced solely on my own. It is in no way a Asrock beta BIOS I just got tired of the lack of flexibility and support for my hardware and decided to do something about it myself while waiting for Asrock.
So, whos interested in trying this tweaked BIOS?

Just to keep things separate from the main post. If anyone is interested in the tweaked Deluxe3 BIOS this is the post with all the details people need to know.
Changes from Vanilla BIOS 1.8:
- Replace P6 table
- Add 6 CPU microcode patch updates
How to flash:
1. Download AFUDOS (available HERE)
2. Place tweaked BIOS and AFUDOS on boot media of your choice
3. From pure DOS type; AFUDOS.EXE /iD3M.rom /PBNC /N
4. Wait for BIOS update to complete
5. Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart
*Note* On restart your system may not POST. All you need to do is remove power cord and CMOS battery, then press the "clear CMOS" button on the back of the board a couple times and leave for about 1min then power up.
