What bios do you and all of you other guys use with this Ram and the Formula?
(intern inofficial bios 1004 allows to set TRFC manually up to 130 in 5er steps, but it`s not even beta!)

I really don't know if it's an error on Neweggs part.. but I just purchased 2 sets of this memory at 9:15 on the 6th and they only charged me only $332.45. (NVM, SEE MY EDIT AT THE BOTTOM OF THE POST)

    F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK
    $189.99 x 2 = $379.98 + $22.47shipping = I should have been charged $402.45

Here is the proof... FROM MARCH 06 2008

When I try to put it it my cart again... the price is back to normal... FROM MARCH 07 2008

Even the shipping and tax price is different

    EDIT:
NVM, I just found out that the modules price went up $40 per pair at the stroke of midnight and free shipping is no longer offered atm.

I'm really glad I purchased them when I did. If I had waited another 3 hours I would have had to pay an additional $81.77

When they arrive I will test them out on my DFI RD600 ICFX3200-T2R/G but I mainly purchased them to go into my future Maximus Formula or Rampage Formula.

These things are really bouncing around price wise on NewEgg.

    On Feb-25 I paid $169.00

On March-5 it was listed at $154.00

I saw the increase go up to $189.00

Now today, they are $40 off.
I see them listed at $149.99

    So far so good
I would call performance "mainstream" but compability is "highend" for me (after having issues with Mushkin ram three times and with kingston one time).
    Settings:
    Strap "333"
    Frequency "DDR 1080"
    CR "2T"
    Timings "Auto" for beginning
    Dram Static Read Control "Auto"
    Ai Clock "Strong"
    Transaction Booster "Disabled"
    -Relax 1
    Vdimm "1,96V" Bios, "2,0V" Windows

Add DFI RD600 ICFX3200-T2R/G to list of "incompatible motherboards" ... kinda.

They work just fine, but I am unable to get to windows at anything other than 800mhz.

(Picture taken with default clockspeed and motherboard settings)

Guess I'll have to wait for my Rampage Formula before I can run at 1066.

Can I assume 8GB of these are compatible with the Gigabyte X48-DQ6 mobo, since they are with the X38 version? Almost same board except the MCH as far as I understand it.

Any word on the DFI P35 UT/LT incompatibility mentioned by G.Skill in post #62 here:
    http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...=177713&page=3

So far haven't seen them on the incompatibility list and seems most folks are reporting no problems with the PC28000 version on a P35 LT/UT (which had been reported by G.Skill as also having issues).

I just got a kit of these. 1 stick boots and runs fine. The other hangs on post code 52. I have tried clearing cmos and different slots. Guess I am going to rma for another kit to see if that works.

I'm thinking about getting those. My mobo is asus p5w deluxe. Anyone knows if they will work fine? Its either this ram or the gskill ddr2 1000. 44 dollar difference but I'm looking for something to run at 4-4-4-12 around ddr2 1000 speeds.

I guess it's nice that Oskar at DFI tested these on the DK P35 for G.Skill.

Any word on exactly what the problem is with these on the DFI P35 LT?

From what I understand, G.Skill does have a DFI P35 LT in house but is still leaving it up to DFI (i.e. Oskar) to determine what the problem is?

Please add the DFI LP LT X38-T2R to the compatibility list. I'm running 8GB and Vista 64bit at rated speeds, 2.1V vdimm. PERFECTLY.
