Got my 2.4C today, now need help ASAP with mobo/ram selection...

I just got my p4 today and need to pick my other stuff quick because my gf is getting my current stuff for her new rig. I'm buying the stuff used and i'll give you my choices first....
    Abit IC7-G
    Asus P4C800-E-Deluxe
    2x256 OCZ 3700 Gold
    2x256 TwinX4000

I'm going to use it for gaming and benching so I would like to reach the potential of my cpu and ram. I know for a fact that the guy with the IC7-G is having problems getting the board to run in any ratio but 1:1, and only up to 255 . He also has the ram i'm buying so both have already been tested. I'm getting a really good price on that board and he's also going to get me the new chipset fan for it. The Asus is $100 more and I was told that he doesn't overclock but ran his 3.0C@3.3. My 2.4C was made in costa rica and has these markings....
    SL6WF Costa Rica
    3318A037-0808

The pack date on the box was in June, can someone tell me if this is a good chip?

Get the Asus P4C800-E Deluxe with the OCZ PC3700Gold Dual Channel Kit. You won't be disappointed.

The P4C800-E DLX is nice but it a lot of your overclocking success will depend on cooling and such too...

I hope you get a good oc out of your chip but most Costa Rica 2.4C's do not overclock as well as Malay's.

Oh yeah, and did I mention that 10 guys have ordered OEM 2.4c's from Outpost since I got my chip..... 7 of the 10 ordered got Costa Rica's and all of the 10 have hit 290fsb at default voltage.

Radelon I'm glad you got your chip to 3.6 GHz, my Malay 2.4C could do that as well on air but I know about 5 ppl with Costa Rica 2.4C's which do not go past 3.3 GHz... Overclocking is luck of the draw of course but from my experience anyway Costa Rica chips do not overclock as well.

oh and I forgot to update he got the IC7-G to 305fsb today with the 3700 gold . So considering i'm getting the IC7-G and 2x256 ocz 3700 gold for the price the dude wanted for the asus board, i'm getting a wicked deal. The other guy is a :banana::banana::banana: anyway and he'll never get what he's asking for the board. I'm adding the new chipset fan to it and should I volt mod the vdimm? Oh and the 305fsb was done with a 2.4 so now i'll know what is holding me back if I can't reach 300fsb.
