One thing I would like to say.
    Nvidia chipset IS VERY FAST.
    Try to compare Hipro's x38 CPU score to Kingpin's 780i 30.6K score.

    Hipro5 on intel x38 @5.6GHz = 8763
    Kingpin on nvidia 780i @5.85GHz = 9509

...and Kingpin is @DDR2 on that nvidia chipset, against Hipros's DDR3 on intel

It is insane how a 18 months old chipset like 680i (considering 780i = 680i) is still the fastest thing Looks like the memory controler is really nvidia's speciality.

And some people don't like nvidia chipsets

But also CPU are not on same clocks. So maybe it is not very accurate.

    CONGRATZ Hipro5!

    Simply AMAZING
Hope it's not your last word yet!

PS. It it crossfire eating CPU performance and not nVidia chipset superiority.

30.2k at 5.6ghz is unbelievable, I see 31k going down soon(if Vince hasn't already done it).

Simps, the higher cpu score has to do with driver efficiency and clocks, not the NVidia chipset. Compare single card NV on intel chipset vs NVidia chipset and you'll see which is more efficient.

    Second over 30k, not bad

CPU Score has nothing to do with Crossfire degrading system performance (it doesn't, however SLI does) or Nvidia chipset being faster (in fact, it's slower). It's as simple as being able to run LOD with Nvidia and that they have some tweak in their drivers that gives higher CPU score with Nvidias G80-cards.

Maybe you are not considering the difference of 265MHz between Hipro5 CPU clock and Kingpin/Fugger CPU clock during bench. 265 MHz are really a lot.
In this case, the score difference is in the different CPU clock and not in Intel or Nvidia architecture.

Congrats Hipro 31k is not far away, considering your skills
Imagine your score with a QX9650 @ 5850MHz ... Too bad that your retail 9650 is dead ...

    Very nice
"To exist in this vast universe for a speck of time is the great gift of life. Our tiny sliver of time is our gift of life. It is our only life. The universe will go on, indifferent to our brief existence, but while we are here we touch not just part of that vastness, but also the lives around us. Life is the gift each of us has been given. Each life is our own and no one else's. It is precious beyond all counting. It is the greatest value we have. Cherish it for what it truly is."

265mhz is not going to give you 800 more CPU score. Here is 5.58 Ghz on 780i and it scores 9070 compared to 5.6 Ghz scoring 8763.

Congrats HiPro. Sick scores on some good old 29s. I didn't remember reading anywhere that you had finished all of your planned mods on those cards. Are these finished or do you still have more mods to go on them?

    Correct!
I would like to see Kingpin / Hipro5's explanation on why Nvidia chipsets with SLI gets higher CPU score on 3D06, compared to intel chipsets with crossfire.

If this doesn't means that nivida chipset is more efficient or faster, i would like to see what is it then.

And I am not even putting that DDR2 vs DDR3 on the equation...
