Nice... I read that whole thread and realised someone did mention that there was a temp difference of 12 degrees C between core 1 and core 3... How is that possible with that large a margin? Didn't see anyone give an answer to it.

    Actually not my ebay account!
Philly boy has decided to sell this first unit.
As far as we can tell the difference between cores is a glitch, multiple mounts gave us the same temperature.

If you have a cooling question or concern feel free to contact me.

Thanks! I got a Q6600 now but only on a zalman 9700led getting temps on all 4 cores being 52C load and 41C idle... That is overclocked to 2.7 gigs but it is a G0 revision and can't seem to get it past 2.8 stable no matter what vcore i use. Would phase change help me alot or could it be the motherboard holding me back which is only an asus p5ne 650i sli

that seems very odd. I've see GO Q6600's go to +3 Ghz with ease. Sure you not overlooking something?

Unlinked memory, Had to raise NB volted up very high and put a huge HS on it to even get 2.8 stable... And that 650i NB runs HOT at stock and overclocked. Ran the OCZ memory overclocked and stock and no difference. Raised voltage on that to stock specs etc and nothign I do will make that damn Q6600 overclock any higher. Max Vcore i have used so far is 1.55volts and that was to keep it at 2.87 stable but running it at 2.7 24/7. I really think it must be the NB/mobo.

It's the mobo. I had a P5N-E SLI and it couldn't clock quads for anything.
