Nice... I read that whole thread and realised someone did mention that there was a temp difference of 12 degrees C between core 1 and core 3... How is that possible with that large a margin? Didn't see anyone give an answer to it.

Philly boy has decided to sell this first unit.
As far as we can tell the difference between cores is a glitch, multiple mounts gave us the same temperature.

Thanks! I got a Q6600 now but only on a zalman 9700led getting temps on all 4 cores being 52C load and 41C idle... That is overclocked to 2.7 gigs but it is a G0 revision and can't seem to get it past 2.8 stable no matter what vcore i use. Would phase change help me alot or could it be the motherboard holding me back which is only an asus p5ne 650i sli

Max Vcore i have used so far is 1.55volts and that was to keep it at 2.87 stable but running it at 2.7 24/7. I really think it must be the NB/mobo.
