Amd 2.8 ghz x2, 65nm?

I noticed this cpu listed on newegg...

Is this in fact 65nm? People commented on that the retail version was 90nm, not 65nm (and is higher wattage). Although newegg states that the cpu is 65nm, that doesn't mean they didn't make a mistake. I'm a little worried.

I'd sooner buy a 2.7 ghz 65nm cpu than the 2.8 ghz 90nm cpu for the power consumption, thats why I am concerned.

you can put the 5000be at 3.0 with stock vcore pretty much guarenteed

my 5000+ BE does 3.2Ghz @ 1.4V no sweat.

I'm sorry, I should have been more specific. I'm not OCing this chip. I have a really crappy emachines computer sitting around w/ a slow cpu and I wanted to upgrade it. I wanted something lower power (65w). The mobo doesn't support OCing.

I'm just curious if its a 65nm chip. If it is mislabeled and it is a 90nm, i'd get the 2.7ghz 65nm chip instead.

5000+ has unlocked multi, just d/l cbid and change multi via windows

My 5000+ came DOA. I am RMAing it today. I figured that I should get something a little better if I do want to OC in the future. I picked up the 5400+ black & the XIGMATEK HDT-S1283 120mm Rifle CPU Cooler. This is a better deal than the 89watt 3.0ghz version imo. Lower power = lower heat.

I know 24/7 voltage on air is about 1.4v and I shouldn't exceed that, but for the life of me, I can't find the max temps for these chips. What's the temperature threshold for them?

there are no more 90nm uP produced and all that's offered is some old stock from beginning of 2007, and from ado... part you can say it's 65nm part. Even if i don't see why you're so eager to get one cause old 5200+/5600+ are better than newer 65nm counterparts cause they have bigger cache.

The only good thing from 65nm are cherry picked 4850e or even old blackies 5000+. Even B3 k8l are not something worth to much investment.

Sold it to a guy who needed a new pc. Gave him a good deal.

I have an msi k9a2 on the way. It'll be at my door on Monday.

I have two X2's now. 2.6 ghz and the 2.8ghz BE. The BE is going in the k9a2. When i get more money, I'll make an htpc with that as the core.

What's the temperature threshold for them?

search your cpu and have a look.
mostely around 65°C i think.
