    OCTB-[M] goes Wolfdale: E8500 ln²-ed

    Hey guys!

    Thanks to alternate.be I managed to lay my hands on an E8500. Today, Blind came by with a dewar ... filled with ln² .

    CPU: E8500 QX9650(Q9GZ/Q738A262/2L***)
    M/B: Dfi LP UT P35 (bios 0109)
    CPU Cooling: LN2 (KP's Dragon F1 EE))
    Chipset Cooling : Stock + Dry ice Tapakah-style
    Memory: OCZ PC9200 1GBx2
    VGA: Nvidia 8600GT
    HDD: WD 320GB Sata
    Power Supply: Tagan 480W
    Vcore: 1.7-1.8
    Vddr2: 2.49V(bios)
    North Bridge Voltage:1.82v (bios)
    CPU PLL Voltage:1.38v (bios)
    OS: Windows Server 2003 + Windows XP

    amazing chip massman, congrats
    nice to see some wolfdale on ln2 clocking to -140C, all 8400s what we've tested has coldbug problems around -80C...

    We did quite some effort, but never reached 7s . With some better ram or tweaked OS, we would have made it.

    Alternate sold you an ES cpu??

    Great speeds on that cpu but at 5750 you should get sub 8 seconds.

    I wernt aware that you posses a tube, which kind is it?

    I'll catch you in the morning =)
    Btw... Im pretty sure lower timings will benefit (decreasing freq if nessercary)
    Also, raising FSB and lowern multi - if possible...
