The VRM's on the Z7S-WS get stupidly hot. I'm at 3600mhz 1.17v and cant hold a finger to them!

All along the watchtower the watchmen watch the eternal return.

So I just got a skulltrail board and a pair of QX9775s and I coldnt be more exited!

I'm having a hell of a time clocking this thing thogh and was hoping for some help

I see that you posted running your system at 4.2. What kind of bios adjustments did this require? Did you just raise the vcore or did you have to adjust NB & FSB voltages?

Also, is there a place to adjust the SB voltage? I cant find it if there is

anyway, I'm not touching the FSB or memory timings, just trying to up my multi. I cant get it stable at 4.0 to save my life... whats wrong with me

My guess is that your vcore has to be at a minimum of 1.35v to run 4000 stable and maybe a bit more..
    What memory are you using?

I'd love too but Andechs Dopplebock Dunkel is my favorite. This last time, I let my wife and daughter go. I was in the 3-70th Armor and then it transitioned 2nd and 37th in 1983 I think. They moved to Vilseck in 1987. I'am a Tanker till I die. I served there from Jan 80 to March of 1985.

OT Skulltrail II would definitely kick @$$ since it is essentially a Server or High-end Work station any way. I can't see myself even thinking about buying one. I wouldn't use it enough to justify spending the money. My rig is modest because I maintain 3 to 4 of them. With a Wife and daughter, having ONE very powerful system isn't an option. I do admire them though, similar to watching Fighter Jets or Drag Racing Or my Fav, shooting a 120 or 105mm main gun (Cannon for you civilians)

Welcome to the world of digital VRM.. never used a mobo with digital PWMs before? They all get insanely hot
Usually rated for 135C though, so 80-90C is pretty much normal

@German beer: Guys, it's "Hefeweizen" and "Doppelbock" (strong beer, 8,x% alcohol)
    And I love both
