Am I the only one that thinks that the pinotnoir looks like s**t? I mean, it just gives the impression of being cheap; and is not tasteful at all.

IIRC nVidia's only quad will be with the 9800GX2 cards, and the last I read was that it was "iffy". Tri-SLi should be no issue w/ the Striker, if the nVidia drivers work correctly.

Expect prices around the $489 range.

nF790i boards with all these tinky winky schminkies on board will cost those 500$. And average nF790i without useless schminkies will cost about 300$.

500$ hardware price in states transfers to 400EUR in Europe.
Striker II Formula cost 350$ and thats only a tiny step over nF680i. nF790i will be beast, with strong memory controller and everything high end board/chipset needs.

No. It may mean that you have to wait until Kaspar or someone else is able to release some of the more comprehensive overclocking capabilities of the chipset, but I'm sure that Anandtech and others will have reviews up in a few hours.

OBR's review , though a little light of what I had in mind...not reviewed the 9800X2 yet... any can anyone translate that lol

    http://pctuning.tyden.cz/index.php?o...1&limitstart=0

Things I like from current reviews I have seen : pretty low NB and SB temps, performance is pretty average but total wattage draw is pretty low again...
sad: again funky mem dividers to be used to get max performance...

Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree

Yeah me too... Just wondering which will be better the Asus or the eVGA.. I know the Asus board has better parts, but in the end it is about the OCing.

Man, $349 bucks msrp for a reference mobo?? Are u kidding me??? I don't mind spending a few extra bucks for a high end board, I've owned a Maximus Formula and 780i myself, but c'mon!!! This is ridiculous, are these made of gasoline?!?!?

    600$ for a motherboard?
    ...
well, at least there are better alternatives for the more price conscious. This is getting a little too crazy for my tastes.
