    Intel's First Nehalem Cpu-Z Pic.

In this system 2 Quad Nehalem's are used, normally the task manager would show
8 cores (4+4) but due to the SMT feature (some kind of new Hyper threading) it shows 16.

This means the system has 8 physical but 16 logical cores.

The Nehalem architecture will be released in two variations,Bloomfield (LGA1336)
    and Lynnfield (LGA1160).

Such a huge multiplier, low FSB. Reminds me of the old netburst CPUs.

0.975v for the VID? Wow, thats low.

8MB of L3... when was the last time Intel had L3? I wonder how thats going to effect pi times.

With an FSB that low, boards are going to need something stupid like a 1:3 FSB : DRAM divider to get up to DDR3 speeds.

Too many edits. The more I look at it, the more I think "wtf?" SSE4.1 and 4.2, but no SSE4? Uh? 1MB of L2?

Intel's platform is, upon last check, under a year away. It's entirely possible that it's real...

    Nice.

So the big 8Mb cache is L3.. But only 256Kb L2?!

Interesting to figure how is it going to work now with QPI and all.

    100euro on its fake...

There would be no FSB, No L3 etc. And I dont think CPU-z even got the Nehalem word...but could be wrong.

L1 would also be 2x32KB or more.

And i´m sure a 2 socket Nelahem system would have more than 2GB memory...

Also why are these screenshots always in so poor quality...to hide the photoshop marks?

Many things are possible. Just because it's possible doesn't make it anywhere remotely a fact.

It's a damn good fake if it is
"To exist in this vast universe for a speck of time is the great gift of life. Our tiny sliver of time is our gift of life. It is our only life. The universe will go on, indifferent to our brief existence, but while we are here we touch not just part of that vastness, but also the lives around us. Life is the gift each of us has been given. Each life is our own and no one else's. It is precious beyond all counting. It is the greatest value we have. Cherish it for what it truly is."

i guess the inquirer was right when they posted a year or so ago that the new nehalem platform will have hyperthreading, I thought they were full of it until now

Why do you always pretend you know everything?

It's pretty obvious to anyone who actually does that you do not.

You are often helpful for those who don't know anything, but please keep in mind that just because you read some speculation off the internet, doesn't mean it's actually true.

Nehalem comes in two flavors: one uses the old FSB, and one uses QuickPath (CSI). This one seems to be the one using the old FSB.
    oh man
