Antec P182 front panel audio and asus Maximus Extreme MoBoard

Sorry if posting in wrong place ? got a question about chassis and Mobo compatibility ..
- Thought may be somebody here maybe have had already experience with this similar problem?

I am in situation – I have Antec P182 chassis(case) and just finishing installing Maximus Extreme mobo inside.

I cant find a place - where to attach front-panel Audio (mic, ear-speakers) internal connectors to the mobo?
aka there is NO such pins (male plugs) on mobo - what will match with the Antec (wire) connector plugs

That Maximus Extrme. board (by Bios options!) - and also Antec p182 chassis
(tested with earlier p5K3-dlx board setup), - both should have support for AC97 either HD Audio for front panel !

So - but there is only an ‘’uncovered’’ area ( by manual hand-book ).. 
(see this area attached img. - this is the 16(15) pin male plug ( 15 pins in row array) connector below the 3rd PCI-E slot

The case wires can be attached to some of these pins - by leaving some pins un attend, -
( if looking at the combination of ((Antec factory closed )) pin-holes in plugs,
and also see the ‘’NO PIN ‘’ ((missing one pin in lower row )) on the board ..

unfortunately I didn’t find a any single word /note in manual book, saying about
that connector on maximus board ( may be I’m badly missing smth?

any way I will not go for ‘blind probe method’ - just don’t want to blow up these things for fun LOL 

any ideas ? if there is any suggestions, tips or links to this topic .. please let me know

The front-panel audio connectors go to the PCIe SupremeFX II audio card, which should be installed in the black x1 PCIe slot.


They don't go on the motherboard..

Also, there is a setting in the BIOS under Onboard Devices for setting whether you're using HD Audio or AC97.


"Front Panel Support Type", HD Audio or AC97.



Chances are you'll want HD Audio, which is the default.

Hmm... ok seems .. i have to change my plans with this part of wire management, - unfortunately with this setup this cable will be just too short (about) by few inches
OK will see how it will work out .. just had a lil' hope on those ''lower pins'' if they may be can save me from this annoying cable redo
