well crap that review makes it hard to decide... i just really dont like the sunbeam mounting bracket myself and i am not sure a bolt through will work with that one i really wish spawne was able to test the sunbeam

i also found the sunbeam for 35$ also... now that makes it even harder to decide

These reviews are all over the place, according to benchmarkreviews, the CCF is raped by almost everything.

I can't believe the nickel plating performs worse by 5C.

The SB is not a full push pin, but I still would prefer a bolt through method. I would get which ever is cheaper. Both will be very close to each other.

will do. im gonna do one fan first then rig up a second and see if it helps. im pretty okay with my 4.2 24/7 oc as it sits but id like to bring temps down some now.. i dont think ill go much higher 24/7 with the oc now though this thing is smoking fast as it is lol

I don't think he is going to see much. I would say with 1-3C idle and load. Because both have 3 8mm heatpipes.

3c at load would put me in the low 60's max for a 24/7 4.2 oc....ill be very happy with that. my idle temps are 37-38 so if i can bring that even down 1-3c it would be great. and adding a second fan will help im sure. but my 1283 has loose heatpipes in the base they are no sitting flush unless i make them and then they move when it tightens down so i may see more than you think if this one is sitting correctly

Sunbeam sucks... a knock off made in China with cheap heatpipes.
notice with stock fan Sunbeam had to use a higher rpm fan and1 extra pipe to acheive similar result as the others. both OCZ and Xigmatek uses a 1500rpm quiet fan.
if you check the result under the same fan, Sunbeam fall way behind.

ha, you have proof they under the same ghetto factory?
call Xigmatek yourself, ask Daniel if you need to straight the fact up for whats what. so far in US, OCZ is the only one with real HDT product oem by Xigmatek. (Kingwin is no longer on the list and no more after they cleaned their stock)

The rest? ie. Sunbeam/silentx etc are made in China cheap knock off with different production process to cut cost and with cheap heatpipes. The result? Terrible products and performance.....with 1 extra pipe and stronger fan still perform far worse than the real one.
Look closely to the bottom of the heat sink, the heatpipe on those knock off were basically stuffed into the base then hammer it flat, thats why the quality is so poor.

btw made in Taiwan (original real HDT) is on the box easily to identify on the Xigmatek's HDT stuff.
